Obviously the execs at Marriott think that this will be better for business. Their call.

I wonder if they have any hotels in Vegas? I don't think it would fly too well there. Hmm, just checked and they do. Will be interesting to see how they make out in that market.

If hotels can cater to non-smokers then as a general principle bars and restaurants should be able to cater to smokers. If they so choose. In a free market bars and restaurants would be able to go either way or have smoking/non-smoking sections

As a privately owned business, they have every right to do this.

As a private citizen, I have every right to go elsewhere.

That is what choice is all about.
