I'm very proud of their decision and my vote (alas, the Liberal bugger got in, but with some consolation it wasn't the America-bashing Carolyn Parrish who he replaced.)

Sounds like Canadian Jewry is in the same state as that of America--left of center but pro-Israel. As the Left everywhere becomes more and more anti-Israel it will be interesting to see if Canada's (and America's) Jews become more conservative or if conservatives think they have to become more liberal to hold onto Jewish votes (G-d forbid!).

G-d bless Stephen Harper, and may he and all conservatives maintain a consistent Torah approach to all issues, regardless of how unpopular this is with Jewish liberals or anti-Jewish "palaeos."
