I didn't think that you were a Texan; dear. You don't have what it takes to be one.

Neither do you know anything whatsoever about the Dem Senatorial primary race. You had to look it up and then you CCPed it to this thread!

OTOH, I do live in Conn., though I wasn't born here, and know, in detail, what that race is all about and it most assuredly is NOT what you have portrayed it to be!

FYI....Lamont's T.V. are pathetic and beyond stupid! He is NOT a personable candidate at all and if it weren't for his own money and the KOS/DU/Soros connection, he wouldn't be getting any votes at all. And just so you understand, personally, I hate and loathe LIEberman, have NEVER voted for him, and shall NOT vote for him, no matter which party he runs as, this November.

More ramblings from a pro homosexual marxist trying make his fantasies into real news.

One of last year's FR threads posted up confessional evidence -- first-person gloating by a gay editor -- that most of the front-page editors at The New York Times are either openly or almost-openly gay or bisexual.

Which opens up the question whether heterosexual talent (97% of the pool) is getting a square deal at the Grey Lady. Raises a question about what Pinchy Sulzberger's real personnel policy is, too.

That's because he had to go look up who was challenging LIEberman and he CCPed it. LOL

Historically, with a some exceptions (1990, 1994,& 2002), economic issues drive midterm elections. I say the GOP will pick up house seats.

Agree with the conclusion, but not the analysis. You say historically, but with the exception of three of the last four.

I think the ship has sailed on midterms being mostly about economic issues. It's about whatever is important at the time, just like any other election.

It's instructive that the Dims main strategy----to tar the Repubs with "culture of corruption" charges---is already dead and buried.

It hit the skids when Cong Jefferson was caught on tape taking bribes, when people who bribed him plead guilty, and when he was found having 90 large ones in his home freezer.

There's probably no way congressional Republicans can lose this fall, no matter how unpopular President Bush is or how unhappy the voters are with the war in Iraq. That's the prevailing view in Washington today.

Who, other than the WaPo, is saying this? "prevailing viww"? I don't think anyone in Washington believes it. It's a ridiculous premise for a lame article. Neither Democrats nor Republicans are acting as if they believe Republicans majorities are a certainty.

You keep saying that I had to research and then copy information here does not make it true.

Any FReeper / Talk Radio listener / News Junkie knows about the CT Primary race.

Concur. Even the Democrats on Washington Week in Review have conceded that the Dems have shot themselves in the foot by having a couple of Dem congresscritters turn up dirty.

And yet I don't see the makings of a "throw the rascals out" movement, either -- maybe two years from now, but right now people are more absorbed by security issues, with things like bombings and Hamas and North Korea dominating the news.

In fact, the whole Korean missile-test thing, and the Hamas and Hizbollah kidnappings and rocketings, seem timed to take political heat off Iran while they try to fade the international initiative against their drive to get the Bomb.

As someone noted on another thread, they have an ominous date coming up on August 22nd, which among other things is the date when OBL laid out his 1996 fatwa.

What makes it true, is that that post to me, is a 180 degree different statement, than the ones you originally made. As a matter of fact, it contradicts ALL of your previous post 100%!

As to your "Any FREEPER/Talk radio listener/News Junkie knows about the CT Primary race." bit of garbage, all I can say, is that that is NOT true at all! And FWIW, you keep on proving my point, with every single post you make. LOL

Speaking of "conspiracy theories," I head the king of them this morning: Oliver Stone, commenting on "The Making of 'Patton'" said that Nixon watched "Patton" and decided to bomb Cambodia after watching that movie, so IT was responsible for genocide by the Khmer Rouge! Just mull that one over a while.

The BIG PICTURE isn't sizing up well for the RATS. The UN oil-for-food scam still festers. Patrick Kennedy gets rehabbed for addictive drugs in - SHAZAM - less than a month. Israel is under attack and the RATS side with the enemy. The US mainland survives an attack from radical idiots and a category 4 hurricane. McKinney assaults a cop and walks. Removing Saddam appears to be, maybe, the best military move this millennium. The (Reagan-era?) antimissile defense system seems to work. The tax cuts are producing a great economy. Now we learn that *Hillary WILL need to reinvent herself before becoming Queen.

Oh, yeah. And Billy Jeff (D-La.) took a six-figure bribe and will be up for reelection.

(Did I leave anything out?)

That big wave sounds awfully similar to a flushing toilet...

Connecticut has 5 house seats: 3 are R, and basically RINOs (Simmons is a tad better) and 2 are D. All three R districts are competitive. One or two may lose, but this would be no loss for conservatives.

MN is the state I'm most confident about; and I think we may pick up WA; then my confidence is good, but lower, for NJ. I don't think Burns will lose, but I'm less optimistic about Santorum now; and Talent is back ahead.

The only wave that is coming is the tsunami that is going to sweep away those incumbents of both parties who are now openly "giving the finger" to the American people with regards to a spectrum of issues which we consider as threats to our very survival...

If history is any guide, we're heading into a major political storm. And that means we could see a national tide in November that will sweep the Democrats back into the majority.

Virtually every public opinion measure points to a Category 4 or 5 hurricane gathering...

How stupid will this guy look the morning after? Not stupid enough--he'll keep his job.
