Good on-the-ground analysis.

What's wrong w/ Debka??? Well, a broken clock is still accurate twice a day. In Debka's case, their clock is digital and doesn't even have that advantage.

What's wrong w/ Debka??? Nobody remembers their story on how Israel was being invaded by 10,000 Iraqi troops through Jordan?
In short, Debka = BS and belongs in General/Chat.

Debka's "News Flash" is often unreliable. Debka is not always wrong, but Debka has some very squirrelly sources and I always look for a second source before I fully believe Debka's reports.

I think some of it is accurate, although I recall a story a few years back that said Bin Ladin's motorcade was being followed.

Granted, but this report of 90 injured has been widely confirmed by US and Israeli media. The on-the-ground account is what makes it valuable, I think.
Debka was also one of the first to report troops/Special Forces movements in Iraq long before March '03.

Seemingly. And I say let's give it to them. They want it, they'll own it.

Debka is a really lousy source of real news. Wrong quite often, and too much of it is evidently even more fictional than the New York Times.
For just one sad example: I remember a Debka story several years ago telling how three Al-Qaeda separate terror cells had just departed ("our sources say") from somewhere in Afghanistan to (target forgotten), told in such detail that likely nobody in Al-Qaeda would know all that information, and with enough information that nobody but top leadership would know.
And you know what? Not a one of those terror cells made the attacks. They didn't even show up on the news as having been thwarted. "Our sources" is, in my experience, Debkaspeak for "Manny in the backroom is making this up for us."
Then there's yesterday's Debka story headline about somebody being flown from Iran to Syria in a special military plane. What was tho thpecial about that plane, or what the significance of the speciality was, never entered the story. This is serious journalism?
