Tom Davis is the congressman from my district; he has never pretended in any way to be a social conservative. But I can assure you he looks in the mirror; he's gone quite blond in hair color lately!
Good. I know my donations to TCFG are well spent.
I have some other info posted on my profile page for those who are interested in finding out a bit more about both the RMSP and also the New Majority , oddly enough or not, they share quite a few if not the same goals.
I used to live in Tom Davis's District (VA-11). Hell, I **KNEW** Tom when he first ran for Congress. The man is through and through a RINO, and amongst the activists, it was the common opinion that the ONLY reason Tom is a Republican is that that's how he could first get elected.
Conservatives remember when he arranged the purge of conservatives from the leadership of the Fairfax County Republican Committee. . .
And his new wife (ok, 4-5 years ago. . .)Jeannemarie Devolites-Davis, already a Virginia State Senator, is even MORE ambitious. . .
Mind you, Tom is pretty much permanently elected, it would take the rape of an entire Girl Scout Troop live on National Network TV to get him out of office. . .
RSMP = $oro$
He and Jeannemarie have only been married for two years; his divorce from his first wife wasn't final until 2003. Their affair, his divorce, and subsequent marriage didn't raise eyebrows in his district, so you can probably forget about sending in the scout troop to be violated.
Loser RINOs, enough said. If they want to be liberal why can't they just join the Dems?
Humm....kinda like "Atheists for Jesus".
He's definitely not a loser. He has little opposition when he runs in the district, and he's pretty much assumed to be the one who will inherit John Warner's senate seat.
Well, the divorce might not have been final, but Tom and Airhead had been a couple for a LONG time.
No matter how bad I diss Tom, one needs to diss Jeannemarie even more. . .I can remember when SHE first popped up. . .her bona-fides were as a GIRL SCOUT LEADER. And that was it. . . . .

Thanks for directing us to you home page...very eye opening information regarding this..
That is quite a list of Congresswienies involved with that Main Street Partnership.
Granted. Davis is a RINO, but you're correct that he's no loser.
He is, however, out of the party mainstream. I would take issue with your statement that he's "assumed" to be the heir to the Warner Senate seat.
HE may assume that. But it's not coming from the rank and file GOP.
He'll likely make a strong run for it in any case. Who else is on deck for it that you know of? (Like many in NoVa, I know relatively little about downstate political figures).
I'm fairly certain he'll run for it. But I think good consideration could also be given to JoAnn Davis, Bob Goodlatte, Eric Cantor, Randy Forbes and Virgil Goode. All strong GOP congresscritters in their own right.
Then there's always the possibility that Jim Gilmore would attempt a comeback. Maybe even John Hager.
Davis may still get the nod. I just don't think it's a given.
After almost 30 years of John the RINO Warner, the rank and file conservative Republicans aren't going to go easily for someone like Davis.
John Warner has had remarkable staying power for someone who was an "accidental" candidate (literally!) in the first place. The only name on your list I'm familiar with at all is Virgil Goode. (And of course, Gilmore and Hager on your separate list).
As annoying as John Warner is to the conservatives, he's had an appeal to voters across party lines (his RINO-ness helps that). I think Mark Warner was really the only serious challenge he's ever had.
Ah... the target of "Political Human Sacrifice" himself! Why am I not surprised?
