Oh, man! I don't want to miss this but we are going to be on an Alaskan cruise. I am pouting. I want to be BOTH places! We have not yet been to the Reagan Library and this would have been the perfect time to go and get to meet some freepers that I've not yet gotten a chance to meet at the same time. *sigh*
Oh well, jkphoto and I will be thinking about you all on the 22nd and will raise our glasses to all the fabulous FReepers in attendance and to the greatest president of my lifetime, God rest his soul.

Bummer. We have another picnic that day in the S.F. Valley. It isn't until about 5:00, though, so maybe we can be there for a short time. (This summer have noticed several flags, flowers and remembrance messages placed at the Library sign at the corner of Madera and Presidential, compliments of tourists.)

If it is crowded, parking can be a bitch since the lot is not that huge and you can end of parking on the winding road up there.....I went in Dec when it was pouring rain and managed to get parking....but there were tons of cars parked up to a 1/2 mile down the hill There are signs leading to additional parking at another parking lot, with a driveway entering from Madera Rd., on the same side of the street as the Reagan Library but West of Presidential Drive, near/at the intersection of Madera and Country Club Drive West.
I think the overflow lot is used on weekends when the library is busier.
