"This perversion of the First Amendment means the guy who preaches hatred, pollutes hearts and minds, steeps persuadable people in reasons to harm Americans and wage war from within against America ... gets a free pass."
For a second there I thought he was talking about the New York Times.

the avowed homosexual lawmaker spent ten years fighting to change the statute primarily to eliminate a long-standing ban on homosexual foreigners entering the U.S.

What are the chances Barney Frank, who apparently pledges allegiance to the rainbow flag first and foremost, will be unseated by his Republican opponent?

rainbow flag first and foremost, will be unseated by his Republican opponent? His base is Newton - the capital of Political Correctness in Massachusetts. In Newton being homosexual is almost a requirement for position of school principal or a teacher. See this

seems to be a method to allow homosexuals to claim spousal visas based on "ideology" that homosexuals should be allowed to marry each other.
Frank is using what homsoexuals always use. The anecdote as a poster child. "How can you oppose the law, nice person X would be hurt by this cruel hateful law. Don't you know person X was "born" that way."
There must be very few staight people in Franks district.

Newton - the capital of Political Correctness in Massachusetts Together with Lexington of course. See more about Newton at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1661963/posts
"[...] And while it's reasonable to assume that there are a lot more gay teachers and administrators here in Newton than in Lexington, few parents would really care were it not for the observation that Superintendent Young seems obsessed with hiring gay personnel - black or white, young or old - it doesn't matter, so long as they're gay. It's all because of the schools up here,
Every year the rest of the country sends us their kids for the liberal education and they get it. Then 4% or 5% end up staying around Boston.
Year after year, they push out the natives, making the place a little more liberal.
It's one of the few places I expect to become more liberal. Others are Beserkely, Madison and Austin.
Barney Frank is a good example.
He's from New Jersey.

LIBERTY "On the eve of a holiday that used to stir patriotic emotionsthe Fourth of Julyit has been painful to see examples of how little remains of that glue that holds a society together... Patriotism is not chic in the circles of those who assume the role of citizens of the world, whether they are discussing immigration or giving aid and comfort to the enemy in wartime. The decline and fall of the Roman Empire was as much due to the internal disintegration of the ties that bind a society together as to the assaults of the Romans' external enemies. The pride of being a Roman citizen was destroyed by cheapening that citizenship by giving it to too many other people. The sense of duty and loyalty eroded among both the elites and the masses. Without such things, there could be no Roman Empire. Ultimately, without such things, there can be no United States of America. In neither case have tangible wealth and power been enough to save a country or a civilization, for the tangibles do not work without the intangibles." Thomas Sowell
What Franks has done is to cheapen citizenship..............

Nice to have a liberal teach me something new that gives me hope for the country! When are we going to start a ban on homosexual citizens? I suppose if we were being consistent we'd deport them as well. Maybe to Europe where they're more "tolerant". I can dream ... too many pro-fag "tolerant" liberals masquerading as Republicans these days. Your absurd arguments are noted -again.
Regardless -the question involves immigration. If one supports immigration and citizenship for individuals that are objectively disordered there must be some rational basis for such support -what is yours?

To suggest that 3 words from a 9/11 Commissioner "exonerate" him is a crock. I read Posner's book and seem to recall he had the wording changed from being able to exclude someone who belonged to suspected terrorist organization to only excluding someone actively involved in same. What Frank did, whether Republican or Democrat, straight or gay, is an absolute disgrace. Unfortunately, like so many Pols, he doesn't have the balls to admit a mistake.
