You're probably not going to believe this but I did not see your tag line before I posted my last.

Oh, that's right, Rush is never wrong.

Sorry to bother you.

You could perhaps argue that he was not the only one searched. We only have his word for that.

We do know that this information was released very quickly and private medical information was included in that release.

The IRS has been a political tool for years. We've heard rumors of corruption in the border patrol but I've never heard of the border patrol being used as a political tool. until now that is.

"CBP is a very politically correct organization and if the female CBP Officer did what Rush claims, she'll be looking for a new job soon."

Good to know. Thanks for doing what you do -- it's a thankless task, but so vital to our sovereignty.

Rubbish. Rush went before a judge and plead...guess what...NOT guilty.

The so called doctor shopping incident didnt' go to court because..gues what.. the DA had no case.

So Rush should just stoicly accept being targeted? He should not report what actually happened (I guess you trust the lamestream media to give you 100% correct information) and not defend himself, just meekly accepting whatever hateful treatment the liberals dish out.

Are you also prepared to apply those exact same cirsumstances and boundaries to yourself?

She should be...but don't hold your breath.

If she did what Rush said she did, she'll be canned. CBP is firing and disciplining officers left and right.

There should also be an investigation as to who leaked this to the press and that person should be fired pronto.

Agreed.

PR at Customs will still have to address this in the media, don't ya think?

They may, it depends on if Rush files an official complaint.

If he just talks about it on his show, he'll be ignored.

Hillary won't even make it past the primaries.

She has absolutely no ability to think on her feet, demands press questions be submitted in advance, etc. That won't fly at all in the debates and on the stump.

Not to mention her seeming inability to make a point without screeching, which undoubtedly will provide lots of fodder for late-night comedy shows.

Plus, the moonbat wing of the Democrat party has no use for her.

I'd say there's no need to worry about a "return to power" for the Clintons, FRiend.

Bull!!!

Maybe if these people like the Officer in question's name was announced publicly and her picture was all over the place they would think twice about doing the crazy things they do. Why is it they are never held accountable?

Ok. So the flights from DR are targeted for, I assume, contraband. Fine. They should be. Why would the bottle of Viagra have been flagged and turned into such a big hairy deal? Whetther it went down precisely as Rush claims or not, why would the customs agent have singled him out for having a bottle of a non-controlled substance? Is that normal procedure? Do they ususally hold a person for 4 hours for such a thing? What about the leak to the press?

The reason I ask is because many, many travelers do NOT carry all their prescriptions in individual bottles with labels on them. I know I never have. And I have traveled to and from the DR. As far as I know nobody searched my luggage.

"AS I already stated, he was treated unprofessionally upon arrival and the officer/officers that did so should be disciplined."

They released private medical information to the media. That is more than unprofessional, it is a crime.

"What did not happen, is that CBP said "Look, Rush is coming in on a private flight tonight, send someone out their to screw with him.""

Someone evidently said that as your "unprofessional" treatment did occur. And since that someone worked for the CBP your response does not seem to add up.

She is not at risk.

You're mistaken.

If she did what Rush says she did, she's in great risk.

In my little port alone, CBP has fired 3 officers and disciplined 2 others in the past 2 years. Prior to becoming CBP, not officers were fired or disciplined in the previous 4 years.

CBP is desperately trying to cut the dead wood and they are actually doing a good job at it.

"I think he could travel overseas but never travel with medicine of any kind."

Not anytime soon. What he said was, with private aircraft, in his experience, trans-Atlantic flights can be searched down to the seat cushion interiors without the captain or any aircraft personnel present.

Intimating he could be victim of a set-up (easily believable). And then progressing to say that 2006 and especially 2008 will be the most ugly, vitriolic, vengeful campaigns in recent memory. And I agree with Rush entirely, starting with just the DUmmie 2008 primary season.

I invoke the name of the Great Warrior Celt Rick Rescorla when I say we on Free Republic are going to KICK DONKEY ASS! I can't wait!

Why should the officer get canned, she did her job.

If she did what Rush said, by holding up the bottle and loudly announcing it was Viagra, she acted illegally and inappropriately.

When conducting searches and interviews, we are governed by the law, including the "Privacy Act".
