DEMOCRAT ABSURDITY DEPARTMENT: The President and Secretary of State will attend the American Legion convention in Salt Lake City at the end of August. The SLC mayor, who is an ultra liberal Democrat, plans to organize a large protest. This won't be the first time, either. Apparently, this mayor doesn't believe in extending normal protocol and courtesy to the Office of the President, just because a Republican happens to occupy the office at this time. And while we're discussing PITB Democrats, we've finally reached the ultimate in "it's Bush's fault" absurdity. Here's an article by a Dim columnist, Marc Ethier, whining because the President "ruined" his weekend. It seems the President had the temerity to visit Camp David, where he did a little mountain bike riding. This caused the summit trail of a local peak to be closed off for security reasons just when Ethier wanted to climb it. In Ethier's world, it seems his hike is more important than the security of the President of the United States.
