Kind of an ironic position you have here...after all, wasn't it man who kept her alive all these years? If man had not intervened, I'm sure she would have been gone long ago.

Oh yes, the big conspiracy. You must be right, there couldn't have been a conspiracy. Why would anyone ever conspire to kill their spouse, even if it would help cover up a crime and NOBODY would ever conspire to kill somebody if they would get millions of dollars if they were successful.
Thank you for clarifying that for all of us.

Allow me to clarify...
Your post: GOD IS GREAT! Doctors are mere men, they should never have ANY clout on playing God and decisions of life or death.
My response: Kind of an ironic position you have here...after all, wasn't it man who kept her alive all these years? If man had not intervened, I'm sure she would have been gone long ago.

If man had not intervened, I'm sure she would have been gone long ago. From what? She had no disease. Not wanting to argue, just curious.

after all, wasn't it man who kept her alive all these years? If man had not intervened, I'm sure she would have been gone long ago. So giving somebody food and water is now "intervening" to keep them alive?

If there WERE MILLIONS and MILLIONS and MILLIONS of dollars at stake I might take a second look. But for the amount of money that was left...absolutely not.

Is this a good time to bring up the fact that I brought my mother home with Hospice and a DNR?

If someone has a properly executed DNR or other advance medical directives, there is no doubt about their wishes.
Michael Schiavo based everything on a conversation he claimed to have had with his wife and he didn't even do this until years after her condition developed.

She couldn't feed or care for herself... Neither can infants or quadriplegics, should we just starve them too?

I'm just responding to another post so keep the flames a dull roar. However, that said, to answer you question, yes, it is intervening. Especially if they are incapable of doing it themselves. So from a purist's point of view, is this not playing God? After all, how are we to know that this was not God choosing to let her pass?

I did.
But she was not disabled mentally.
I signed it myself at the hospital.

A court of law agreed with him. I've said this from day one...instead of yammering about, why don't you try CHANGING THE LAW.

I see the Terri Schiavo frenzy continues here on FR. The poor woman is gone. Let her rest in peace.

So from a purist's point of view, is this not playing God? Yes, it is.
And I realized this while I was medicating my own mother in my own house: I literally had her life in MY hands.

She couldn't feed or care for herself... That's not a good enough criteria for me. You said she would have died "If man had not intervened". Mothers intervene everyday and feed their kids.
However, thank you for the response.
