With Discovery docked, this should be the largest the ISS has ever been.

After the new module is installed, it will be even larger.

Do you use a telescope?

No. It moves way too fast. I saw it once, docked - forget which mission. I was driving I-26 from Johnson City to Asheville. I knew the sighting time, cs I pulled off the road.

It was an almost 90 degree pass - directly overhead. The thing was bright red, due to the morning light - and MOVING on!

Compared to looking at a plane in the sky, it was hare racing tortoise. Not quite; but what blew me away was how fast she got from horizon to horizon.

One could nor keep up with a telescope.

Scoped out the view - I'll need to walk a few blocks to have a look. Litttle House on Unaka has a lot of trees and close houses in the 'hood. But, I can get to a clear view west pretty easy
