I don't agree with funding abortionGates says ... none is being used directly for abortion
What does that mean, directly?
Why the qualifier?

Read for yourself. From the article, again:
Trevor Neilson, a spokesman for the Gates foundation, said the money will not fund abortion because "we specifically give our grants in a way that they not be used to fund abortion services of any kind."

Why is Bill Gates given a free pass for ending other peoples lives?
I don't see anyone giving a "free pass" and saying all that he does is good - it isn't. But giving billions for preventing or curing childhood disease is, whether or not I agree with everything he does. Go ahead and condemn what you disagree with, but hyperbole and error don't help to convince.

He has said before that he supports planned parenthood. He says that he does not support abortion. Fine who knows what will happen to all the money he will give planned parenthood. That money may or may not be used to commit abortion. We will never know.
The segment of planned parenthood which works to control the population has done vicious things to women living in the third world. They have sterilized women without their consent. It is not hyperbole to say such actions are evil.

I do not see vaccination as a fair trade for supporting a group of people who have used devious means to rob women of their fertility.
Even if planned parenthood did not slaughter unborn babies, they would still be a sinister organization.

"There is a reason Christ pointed out that it was more difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven than for a camel to squeeze through the eye of a needle."
This is my pet peeve. Please finish the quote from the Bible.
Jesus follows up with the line "But through God nothing is impossible." (or something like that, I paraphrased)

Why I'm not afraid:
The Spirit of Life will crush the Culture of Death. We know this through the Promise of the Holy Eucharist. Jesus Christ is still Present among us as He has always been with us. He continues to be, and will be all the way to the end of time.
When the Culture of Death focuses on delivering all of its attacking power onto an objective, it comes in the form of suicide...not sacrifice. For example, the kamikaze delivered horrific results in the form of suicide attacks. They inflicted terrible battle damage against the US during World War 2. Yet suicidal attacks hastened the end of Imperial Japanese power. Even today's "suicide" bombers murder not only innocence, but also the attacking power of terrorism.
Thus, I'm worried. Obedience unto death (not suicide), issues life. Christ's Obedience unto death brought us Eternal Life. Satan's children prefer to spit into the eyes of all who'd want Salvific Reconciliation--this is suicide resulting in eternal death. It's meant to murder as many souls as possible rather than bring Peace.
Selling abortion hardware will fail. Selling condoms will fail. Even such, God's enemy continues sowing weeds among the wheat. The Culture of Death, even with spectacular financial failures will use literature and orgasmic experiences (feel good drugs, substance abuse, vulgar entertainment) to keep the "worm on the hook" (in other words, keep human interest focused on the mystery of evil and desire for sin). We know this hook as "soft" porn, "prescription" drugs (like marijuana to "prevent blindness"), reckless undisciplined entertainment (pick a cable TV channel...other than EWTN), and all comes of the message and nature of original sin: satisfy the body, ignore the soul, refuse service to God.
Knowing the TRUE message will help souls discern the good seed from the bad. Intellectual simplicity will weed out the spoiled fruits of evil's labor. Tycoons funding the Culture of Death may try, but the message and works of Christ's True Love can't be complicated by the desires of world. Simple obedience crushes temptation and masters the demon lurking at the door.
The Sacramental Life is simple obedience. Reconciliation removes a souls offenses to God. Communion with the Holy Eucharist increases spiritual well being and prayer power. When the needs of the living are met, then freeing souls from Purgatory rob Hell of its demonic power and influence. Sin dies not by the power of human strength, but by Jesus' actions worked through human obedience to God's Law.

Or, as Nelle and John Reagan's little boy, President Ronald Wilson Reagan and his friends Pope John-Paul II and Lech Walesia might very well have once observed -- as Mrs Snatcher "Hong-Kong" Thatcher made any needed [NOISES OFF] -- trust God.
And tie up your camel.

Odd, I seem to recall that it was Ronald Reagan raising the stakes of the arms race beyond what their ramshackle economy could bear. you might find it informative to peruse President Reagan's convictions about the his role vs. the role of the Almighty in the affairs of men.
And, as an aside, you might also want to consider that Russia has been either the first or second largest exporter of oil for decades. It is a nation rich in natural resources. Just because they enslaved their population didn't mean the nation was without capital.

People have been villifying Bill Gates for years. They always will. This just invites a whole new crowd to do so. Now the Mac groupies can agree with pro-life people. Politics does indeed make strange bedfellows.
Now, about this business of "blood money." Do you voluntarily pay your taxes?
To: Antoninus
"Evil is good. Devils are saints. The pious are evil. Down is up. Death is a choice. Life is useless. Work makes you free."
Exactly. Just like Orwellian society where War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength.
