Thank God. I got a letter saying my info was on that laptop.

Saw on a follow up report that the laptops are stolen, cleared of data and sold to college students nearby.
My guess is that this was one case that was not going to go away until they found the laptop.

Big deal. The hard drive has certainly been copied by now.

Thank God. I got a letter saying my info was on that laptop. Same here - but I don't feel any better about it. News scroll this morning indicated the employee had the VA's permission to take the information home - and there's no telling if the information is still on the laptop, or how many times it's been replicated.
