The Irey campaign had better follow this guy around with a tape recorder, the press will not be reporting any more Murtha comments that are damaging to his slim chance of reelection in November.
Murtha is a one-trick pony. He is tied to the anti-war moonbat left. As soon as he stops saying outrageous things, they will turn on him in a heartbeat. Look at how vicious they are being to Hillary!
Murtha has no choice but to continue to dish out red meat to the far Left of his party. All Diana Irey has to do is point it out when he does.
Then I guess that means half don't. Now ask yourself, which half is angrier and more motivated to vote in November?
Exactly right! Don't waste money on postage for something which goes straight in the trash. Donate to his worthy opponent. And do it in the next few days, so it's reflected on this quarter's FEC report - which is going to certainly capture some attention. [grin]
"Pork eaters are complacient." Agree.
They dumped Tom Foley as Speaker of House and little Tommy Daschle Senate leader without a second thought. Sheets Byrd was seriuosly threatened until media got heavily back on his side and they put his chops in a lock box.
It is all up to Irey (and Richard Mellon Schaife).
You people just don't stop, do you? It's such a powerfully Dem district [yawn], that John Kerry pulled a whopping 51% in 2004. Think Murtha's gonna approach that kind of a turnout again? I don't.
Why not blow the dust off your wallet and bet a few bucks on her chances? She's an underdog, but not by much. Bob Novak (who ain't exactly a spreader of good GOP news) didn't write this column just to play cheerleader.
Reminder: The FEC fundraising deadline is in a few days. If you've been thinking of donating but haven't yet, please do so now and make Ms. Irey's impressive haul even more impressive.
the flooding in PA that people don't want to hear about could turn into a Katrina type disaster for pols in the area.
Murtha's "Cut & Run" Comments on Iraq: "there's no progress at all" "it's worse than it was prewar" "we should immediatley redeploy" "War cannot be won on the ground" "I have said it's a civil war" "We cannot win this militarily. Our tactics themselves keep us from winning," |
Murtha's Comments on our Troops: "Would you join (the military) today?," he was asked in an interview. "No," replied Murtha "And I think you're saying the average guy out there who's considering recruitment is justified in saying 'I don't want to serve'," the interviewer continued. "Exactly right," said Murtha "we have become a catalyst for violence" in Iraq Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood." at Haditha "I will not excuse murder, and this is what happened" "This is worse than Abu Ghraib" "Hopefully, this is an isolated incident. But we're supposed to be selling ideas of America, ideals of America, and we're losing that war." "These kind of things have to be brought out immediately," he told "This Week," "because if the Marines got away with it, other Marines might think it's okay." "What they're saying to me is we're stretching the military too thin. The army is broken, and we couldn't deploy to a second front if we wanted to." "The troops don't know what to do. They don't have the direction they need in order to supervise the prisoners," |

However, the Keystone State already exhibited a strong anti-incumbent sentiment earlier this year.
I don't agree with that argument, T. Murtha definitely knows how to manipulate the system in ways a freshman rep just couldn't realistically do. But that's okay by me. Most of the folks voting for Irey aren't too keen on "pork" anyway.
ping
Us here in SW PA have known about her and her campaign. Murtha may be in real trouble.
Would you like to be on the Irey/Murtha ping list?
Ill see you one better. Send him white hand towels. LMAO
"The House of Reps has absolutely noting to do with abortion. Even the Senate does only one thing related to abortion, and that is confirm S.Ct nominees."
You expect WAY WAY to much out of the average voter. As far as the average voter is concerned the house of reps appoints the vice president.
/NOT SARC
LOL
Series-ly, has not even a local biased media up there even done a poll on this race??
