Vision, I forgot to add your name to a post I sent to Minority Republican. I wanted you to be alerted to this since the rules require it. See post #113.

That's fine, but please make a point or go away. I don't want to deal with you if you're upset because I've challenged you to think about the reality of politics vs issues you all are obviously sensitive about.

Oh, I'm not upset. I deal with people like you more than I care to. I've made some pretty good points, none of them which you have denied or rebutted. I suggest you get some counseling and find out why you are such an insecure person. Lucky for you, your handicap is curable--but you have to want help in order to get cured.

Dear dmw,

I think if you read carefully, Vision isn't suggesting that folks with disabilities are incompetent at life.

Rather, I believe he's suggesting that the politics of a blind candidate just don't work. That isn't necessarily a judgment on the competence or capability of Ms. Cox, or of blind folks, or of disabled folks generally.

I don't think Vision has done much more than make an assertion, and frankly, my own intuition tells me he's wrong. I've offered my own views on why I think he may be in error, but if he's responded to them, then I missed it.

I think that you're interpretation of what he's said goes a little further than what he's actually said.

Nonetheless, it would be nice, if that is the case, if Vision had done the gentlemanly thing and had corrected that misimpression a few dozen posts ago.

If upon careful re-reading, you disagree with my conclusion, let me know.

Vision, if that doesn't accurately represent your views, if you actually think that disabled folks are fundamentally incompetent in life, then please correct me.

If the GOP continues it's hard work, I believe Maryland can be turned into a solidly Red State.

LOL!

So vision ...who's really the "blind" one here?

Ehrlich...whom I voted for btw...should have waited another week or two.

Maybe he could have found a dwarf, homosexual, minority, sight-challenged woman?

I've already said this has nothing to do with the disabled. God Bless them. But these folks are just too emotional.

Go read the post where I discuss Maryland as a Red State. It will happen eventually. If 90+% of blacks didn't vote Dem now, we already would would be. In a small state like Maryland, you can't have too many counties going 250,000 Dem, 50,000 Rep and be Red. But if you could change those numbers in half, you will.

Dear Vision,

"I've already said this has nothing to do with the disabled."

I guess I missed the post where you explicitly said that.

I agree that you never said otherwise.

34: you discuss her disabilty
67: you discuss her disabilty
84: I dont believe you

interesting how on your post #34 you say, "I'm sure she can be anything she wants to be."

...but then of course follow it up with your attempts at why she shouldnt.

Dear Vision,

In #34, you say, "I'm sure she can be anything she wants to be."

That's a nice positive start, but it's then gainsaid by what follows, which questions how she will perform under pressure.

It's ambiguous whether you're saying that she may not perform well under pressure because she has little political experience, or because she has a disability, or for some other reason.

In #67, you say that disability can't stop someone who is driven, you don't explicitly state that disabled people are not, generally, incompetent. You merely allow for exceptions.

In #85, you say:

"LOL, I have no ill feelings towards the handicapped."

Well, you may believe that disabled folks are generally incompetent, but still think that you harbor no ill feelings toward them. I have plenty of Democrat friends. I love them and don't have ill feelings toward them. Nonetheless, I think that they're delusional.

In your previous posts, I don't see you making a real effort to make yourself clear. In that it had become an issue for other posters, it would have been nice if you'd have made that effort.

Respectfully, I disagree with you. His comment to Minority Republican calling him "mentally challenged" says a lot about this character. Vision says it has nothing to do with being disabled. Well, then why is he saying that a blind person is not up to doing the job just because she is blind? Why does he say it doesn't give a good image to have a blind person on the ticket?

I have tried to have a civil debate with Vision and have asked him questions to see what his true motives and views are on this, but he has failed to answer my questions. Look at my post #44 where I asked him this question"Do you have a problem with people with disabilities in general, or is it just blind people. I'm curious about this." No answer from him. In fact, a few posters have challenged him on some of his comments and have questioned him about them...no answers at all. He just drops his little bombs and takes off until he is ready to drop another one.

Sitest, I can tell from reading your posts that you are a very kind person. I appreciate that about you, seriously. However, if you read this guy's posts carefully, I don't see how you can not question what he is implying at times, and other times saying outright. If I had time I would pull up all of his ridiculous and offensive posts to try to make my point, but I don't have time, so please go back and reread them carefully. Notice too some of the people who have challenged him on some of his comments and asked questions to see if what he said is what he really means. No answers. You are nice to try and defend him, but he should not be defended. He should be challenged and held accountable to explain his comments and not just hit and run like he's been doing.

If this guy doesn't have a problem believing people with disabilities aren't up to serving in politics, then I guess I am blind because it's pretty obvious to me. Does he mean only blind people when he talks about the poor image they give running as a Lt. Governor, or does that include someone in a wheelchair too? I'd be VERY curious to know the answer to THAT question. Maybe you could encourage him to tell us.

Again, I do respect the gracious way you respond to people. I just don't agree with you about what he means with his comments. I don't think me and several other people are misinterpreting him. I suggest that you possibly might be though. But only you can decide that.

While I can't tell whether you are in wheelchair or not, it does seem you are mentally challenged.

Oh my, isn't that a personal attack? Something that's forbidden by FR? Nah, I won't alert the moderator.

This is a sign that you're losing the argument. You are not even willing to rebuke any of my points that I made in post 110. All I wanted to do was to share some strategies of how disabled people funcioned in the workplace.

But you won't say anything regarding that perhaps it's because Jim Robinson is disabled?

But that's fine with me.

That's fine, but please make a point or go away. I don't want to deal with you if you're upset because I've challenged you to think about the reality of politics vs issues you all are obviously sensitive about.

I do not see you making a point. You called me mentally challenged and labeled us as overly "emotional".

I suggest that you immediately stop speaking your mind on this thread since you are being a fool. But it's up to you to decide, kid.

This is my last post to you. I wish you have a good day, sir.

You posted this as I was writing my post to you. Thank you for pointing some inconsistencies out to him and asking him questions. I hope he has the decency to respond intelligently to your questions and explain what some of his statements mean.
