I am rather more familiar with the issues since I have a Mexican wife, here legally, and she follows the news in Spanish. This morning the head of the Illegal worker's union called on more of his members to get out and vote. The Audacity! She translated the whole thing from Spanish for me. It is not called exactly that but that is its function.

As much as I like Cannon, who is a good old boy, Jacobs may be more appropriate in Washington.

Thanks for the replies. I'll catch the polls this evening.

John Jacob Jingle-heimer Schmidt ... That's my name too... Whenever I go out...

Just out of curiosity is your wife irritated by all the crap the illegals are pulling?

I used to have a bunch of legal immigrants from Mexico that worked for me who absolutely hated illegals.

Short answer, Yes.

Long answer: There are legals (good) illegals (not so good) and illegals which are fleeing Mexico because they have criminal records and warrants for their arrest down there. (Bad).

The second category you would look at on a case-by-case basis. The third category is the one where the individuals are an extreme danger and burden to this country. You might say it is the third category which gives the second a bad name, at the very least.

Strangely, this country doesn't have a system to differentiate the second from the third.

One other comment -- She is of the opinion there are probably three times the official number of illegals in this country.

One other comment -- until a recent change in IRS laws many were claiming numerous 'earned income tax credit' dependents on their IRS filings, and getting considerable extra cash.

Good lord, and I figure their estimates doubled would be the real number.

And people say that they really do want to pay their taxes. What a pant load.

If you really want to be stunned by audacity, find someone to translate Spanish to English as you listen to Spanish language political commercials for the American political scene. (If you don't want to be deported, you had better vote Democrat... I kid you not.)

Never mind that illegals shouldn't be voting at all.

Whenever I think the whole illegal mess can't get any worse the universe proves me wrong.

Good lord.

Too bad Jacobs didn't get the 60 votes to avoid the primary.

Time to start looking for another illegal lover to take down.

I'd love to see some pretty pictures on your home page.

At least your motorcycle.

I'd love to see some too! Unfortunately I'm no good at that whole homepage set up thing.

1999 Harley Davidson Sportster Custom

I keep meaning to pick up a second/bigger one (Road King) but the good lord seems to continue to find alternative things I have to spend my money on. I've got it good so I'm not going to buck the system. When it happens, it happens.

I'll see if I can track down a picture to link to somewhere on the web.
