Same here... I'm guessing the press will go ga-ga over the "Romney good looks" and play the heck out of that one, and McCain -- well, he's their loveable little Maverick... they can keep both of them in my book, not getting my vote here in Arizona.

I don't think Allen is ready for primetime, he isn't getting any traction... my thinking, at this point, is VP and more seasoning.

"Who do you dislike more, Romney or McCain?"
Let me put it this way....I wouldn't Pi$$ in McCain's ear if his head was on fire!
Clear it up?

"One only needs to look at how the Republicans are handling the senate race here to know that there is no king-maker. There are nothing but battling factions that cost Republicans on the national scene."
Have you noticed that Nick Smith is now in that US Senate race?

To me they are about the same,
McCain is a hot-tempered bully.
Romney is a smarmy politician who says what he thinks will get him further ahead, he has no core beliefs. And his jokes suck.
To: Beagle8U
Really? His name is on the primary ballot?

I'm not sure, but its unimportant because Dick DeVos is unchallenged for the Republican nomination for Governor.

Yes, search "Michigan US Senate race".
I was going to support Kieth Butler, but as long as Nick Smith gets enough signatures to get on the Republican primary, he will win.
Either way, Debby StabaCow is toast.

Michigan will be as important in 2008 as it was in 2000.
If will have no effect on who will get the Republican nomination.
To: Dolphy
Michigan (Primary August 8)
Debbie Stabenow Democratic incumbent
Michael Bouchard Republican challenger, Oakland County Sheriff
Rev. Keith A. Butler Republican challenger, former Detroit councilor
Leonard Schwartz Libertarian challenger
Bret McAtee Constitution Party challenger
Rev. Gerald "Jerry" Zandstra Republican challenger (withdrew, spring 2006)
Nick H. Smith Republican challenger, former U.S. Rep (no candidacy)

If the GOP were stupid enough to nominate either one of these two, the leftist or the traitor,... OK... I give up. Which is which? LOL!!

WHEN POLITICAL HANDICAPPERS START LAYING ODDS on a presidential election... Here's some early odds for you... The chances of me EVER voting for McStain are ZERO.

WHEN POLITICAL HANDICAPPERS START LAYING ODDS on a presidential election... With all due respect Mark, you're laying eggs, McCain hasn't got a chance.
To: JRochelle
The writer wishes the choice were only between Romney and McCain. You bet, it's your elitist media at work. They want to decide for us who the candidates are going to be.

"Winning michigan last time sure did ALOT for mccain"
McCain only won in MI. last time because of RAT crossover votes, I don't think it will work again in 2008.
In 2006, RAT crossover could only work for Joe Swartz, but it wont be enough to split the entire Republican vote like last time.
The Swartz, Walberg election will be Aug 8th., Whoever wins there will be elected in Nov.
The RATS will support Swartz, but, if they crossover to support Swartz, they can't vote in the RAT primary.

I'd rather have DeVos leading the Republican party here than Yob. If DeVos is an outsider to that power, that's all for the better.

I don't see Smith's name
here. Stick with Butler and don't fool yourself, it's going to be a difficult race, Stabenow has been counting on that and has lots of money.
