Why would they target Sensenbrenner, he's the biggest opponent of amnesty right now? His support of Cannon for whatever reason isn't going to change anyone else's mind around the country who'd like see to the La Raza mouthpiece find something else to do with his time.

Hmm you can't read can you. Amnesty opponent James Sensenbrenner is supporting Chris Cannon.

Hey if you think Sensensbrenner is a putz, so be it, but don't get mad he has respect for workhorse Chris Cannon and not showhorse and your hero, tom tancredo.

Did you know Mitt Romneys dad was born in Mexico. There are alot of people with the surname "Romney," that still live there.

No, I didn't know that! Fascinating and with the looming Presidential election important information. Thanks.

The one having a problem reading is you. Check post 101 again, it was stated Sensenbrenner's support for Cannon, for whatever reason is unlikely to have much effect on what anyone else thinks of your hero Chris. Besides, it's up to Utah to decide and those of us who'd like to see Cannon retired are only here to cheer them on. What's your agenda?

To have good conservatives, such as Chris Cannon, stay in Congress and not be silent on real RINO's like Chris Shays as you are.

You're right, Shays is a northeastern RINO like just about everyone else up here. But at the moment he's against the Senate scam while Cannon has supported it along with other amnesties in the past. And that's why you're suddenly on these threads defending him.

So be honest instead of trying to pretend instead that it's because he's a "good conservative". You forgetting you have a trail of a zillion posts and we know where you're coming from.

Lonsberry has come out on Jacobs side. What make you a better spokesman for Utah than him? Buchannan and Tancredo support Jacobs. But I must side with YOU?

Who is "Lonsberry"? Am I supposed to know?

Buchanan and Tancredo support Jacob (it's Jacob, not Jacobs), yet Jacob has an immigration plan closer to Pence's plan than to Tommy's.

You don't have to side with me. But I am pointing out that you are supporting an amnesty plan by supporting Jacob.

I found and read the entire article. First the dems try to brainwash us with Commander in Chief and now HBO is trying to make polygamy attractive to desensitize us.

"I'm of the belief everybody has to go back," Jacob said.

Then I'll bring 'em all back with a FastPass.

Really? Not according to James Sensenbrenner.

You really like to smear good conservatives, such as Cannon and Sensenbrenner don't you.

We do enough reserach and arguing here to strip away the chaffe, but we are in the minority...

Your attempts at obfuscating are quite poor but comical anyway as usual. It doesn't change who or what you are, an illegal alien amnesty supporter. That's why your spamming these threads, a Cannon loss would be devastating to your cause.

Shays was for (and probably secretly still is) for the Senate bill, until he went home and held some townhall meetings (after the senate bill passed) and reports are he was raked over the coals pretty good and came away with an change of attitude (called trying to get re-elected) on illegal immigration and the senate bill.

Just prior to these townhall meetings he was on Larry King telling Congressman King, of New York, that his constituency was more liberal and wanted the things he was voting in favor of (on immigration), it was right after that on the two week Memorial Day break he was at these townhalls and found out he was wrong.

I Guess, to his benefit, he didn't stack the audience like McCain does, and actually listened to the people who put him in his office.

I like Sensenbrenner, but if you pay attention, he has been all over the map the past couple of months.

You're right, it is Jacob. In our neighborhood every time we hear his name we sing "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt."

I'm sure there are many who will go to the polls with this "jingle" stuck in their heads. Free advertising.

Who is "Lonsberry"? Am I supposed to know?

Bob Lonsberry is a nationally sydicated conservative talk show host. I'm surprised you haven't heard of him, which just goes to show, you're not from Utah. Lonsberry is big here.

Can Cannon

Shays I've no doubt would support the Senate bill if weren't for the election coming up. That's what makes the House a little better, they have to run every two years and on an issue like this where everyone has had about enough Shays really had no choice but to change his stance on it.

I have no doubt you're correct. He was so firm in thinking he knew how his constituents thought that night on King and yet two weeks later he did a 180 and wasn't shy in saying why.... but, I don't trust what any of these people are going to do on November 8th.

That we do have to be careful about. I read today major legislation doesn't ususally get passed in a lame duck Congress but I seem to recall that NAFTA was rammed through during one. I believe the conservatives who are opposed today will remain so but we can expect the pressure to increase after the election.
