given the dates listed on the docs (Dec 98 & Jan 99), this coincides with X42's wag the dog III to take the focus off the impeachment vote. Nonetheless, another great find you've presented.
I have no idea. I hope that the Iraq Survey Group had interviewed this woman.
I wish a Senator would read these translations on the Senate Floor
Yes...just as a lot of the Senators have said that this debate today was good to have...
They should also take whatever time necessary to read some of the documents that have been translated.
Sarcasm aside, I wonder if they truly were this ignorant. When we invaded, the Iraqis thought that our Javelin Medium Antitank Missiles were tactical nukes due to the degree of destruction that they caused to T-72's. They also thought that our body armor was air conditioned, that our water made us super human, and that our armored vehicles had showers inside.
"A. To download and save as many as possible..."
Is this something that we need to do? Do you have any idea how much space would be needed to archive this stuff?
I have something around 100Gig of space on my secondary drive and a 3 meg/sec T-1 at work. If the stuff will fit in that amount of space, I can leave my laptop at the office and see if I can suck the entire FMSO site in overnight one night.
I believe that DU is only used for armor-penetrating rounds such as on the A-10's GAU-8/A, not for any kind of explosive bombs that I've ever heard of (it's purpose is to enable dynamic armor-piercing rounds to penetrate metal better). As such, DU is totally irrelevant to this discussion as far as I can tell (I'm no expert but my dad used to work with the A-10 as an Aeronautical Engineer for Republic Fairchild - I'll try to get more info from him).
The Navy and Army also have some DU munitions, but certainly not in the kinds of weapons that would have been used from the air against Saddam's presidential sites in the attacks in question.

a closer look (past the radiation aspect) will show that the dust itself is extremely toxic without radiation.....not chemical/biologic class toxicity, but quite toxic in ways similar to other heavy metals.
you DO NOT want to be a driver or shotgun on a lowboy in a convoy of lowboys lugging dust-laden Iraqi tanks destroyed with DU-tipped projectiles......trust me! (or look into it further for yourself)
Now the left is saying,
a. the 500 found missile tipped WMDs aren't the "right" ones
b. 500 isn't very many
c. They aren't harmful "now" (too old)
d. George Bush lied
These people have serious mental problems... No telling what this news will do to them ;)
Did you see that Dem lady they had on before, saying "These aren't the WMD we went to war over"? That has got to be the worst attempt to detract from a news item I have ever heard. "Yes, we found material capable of killing hundreds of thousands of people, but it wasn't the material capable of killing hundreds of thousands of people we were told about in the beginning." Yeah, that's a REAL powerful argument. I thought that Ann handled her very well during that segment...though her comments when Colmes brought up Murtha were a bit over the top and detracted from her point.
Isn't that amazing? I thought I was mishearing when those talking points began their disbursement among the Dem pundits this evening. It's simply incredible how stupid that argument is.
Hannity intereviewed Whoopie tonight (heaven only knows why, and I turned it off quickly), and asked her about the WOT. She said that it's making her feel unhappy because we haven't found Bin Laden.
Hmmmm, let me get this straight; millions of people in two countries have been liberated from torturous dictators, they have a chance at a democratic country, our troops have been awesome, there is a new constitution and government in Iraq and their first election, we've found WMDs, kids are back in school and women are getting more rights, we've killed Al Zarqawi and many of the top terrorists, but Whoopy is unhappy because we have't yet got one guy.
The selfish witch is certainly hard to please
Hello and Good Work as always, JVeritas

According to an old HTML-code it was there. I realize this file gives instructions for explosive but more powerful instructions can everybody find everywhere in english.
It would be nice to collect any hard-to-find files on one place, maybe someone downloaded it fast enough until it was gone?
By the way, bear with my english. And greetings from Finland!

Thanks very much for your work. Welcome aboard and thanks to you also, Finnish lurker.

Don't worry, I'm sure the National Archives will ensure that they are kept intact. I mean, it's not like someone could go in there and destroy documents!
President Clinton has also speculated that his bombings of Iraq destroyed Saddam's WMDs. Guess Saddam and co. thought that was a possibility at the time.
Thanks for the info.
