Yes, it IS hard, if not impossible, to find Dick Biondi and the other great jocks, as you put it. Biondi is one of the very few who has not retired (probably because he loves it so much!), and who is still alive! He is still around...he's 73 (will be 74 in September). Don't feel bad. I just learned that recently myself.
I was just enjoying Biondi over the Internet...until today. This was their first day with their new web address. But there's a technical problem, I guess. I could not, not to save my life I couldn't, get the link to "Listen" to work! It gave me two error messages. I'm forgetting what, exactly. But the bottom line is, whoever designed the "dual websites" (in order to have two WJMK's online at once) should have tested the new one, to be sure that it would work in its fullest! Instead, you go into the old website, www.wjmk.com, and you get that silly Jack-FM...If you go into CBS Radio's main index, you can even listen to Jack-FM online. But you can't listen to the other WJMK--OUR favorite! And www.oldieschicago.com seems to work for everything EXCEPT listening online... I'm still very very sad...and I was only enjoying Biondi for about two and a half months or so!! I'd been listening to nothing but old airchecks and CD's of airchecks from 30 or more years ago. That's all well and good, IF that's all I had to go on. But I was really enjoying being able to listen to Biondi LIVE!!! And I miss that terribly! I have sent WJMK an e-mail, and I hope they can iron out their technical difficulties...so that I can listen to my favorite...the one and only "Wild Itralian" again!!
