"Republican influence-peddler"?

WHAT?????? This is the classic AP bias crap that comes out all of the time. Does Abramoff not deal with Democrats? Harry Reid for example?

What a piece of trash. This is all over the wires right now and typica AP crap!!

AP should be blushing because their bias is showing.

I read that as he was a Republican. Maybe he is. Duke Cunningham is. Republicans can be criminals.

NBC referred to this guy as a "Bush aide", as though he was in Bush's inner circle. No bias there, huh?

The way it reads is that he was peddling influence only to/for Republicans.

But it could also mean he was a registered Republican. However, we all know what they really mean.

Yes, I see your point now.

It just begs another question, why does it matter what party Abramoff is a party of? Is the AP going to say Democrat influece peddler Barbara Streisand or Democrat Influence Peddler George Soros?

It's crazy.

The other piece of bias that's gone on in the reporting of this story is the MSM trying to tie this guy to Bush by calling him a "Bush aide." This guy was a federal bureacrat, not a White House employee. Yes I believe the GSA is an executive branch agency, but they are trying to make this guy sound like he's a direct advisor to the president, like he was Bush's right hand man.

I guess since they couldn't use the "Bush Aide Convicted" headline for Rove, they just transferred it over to this guy to itch the scratch the MSM had going for a Bush aide to be convicted of something.

That's how I read it, too. Either way, it's wrong. Is this Peter Yost guy part of the same knucklehead group of AP writers that have perpuated this stuff time and again. Remember the "Booing of Clinton surgery speech" in Wisconsin during 2004.

What a crock that was the AP got torched for it...mostly because of the work here of Freepers.

Was this guy a political appointee? Was he there when Clinton was in office?

Just curious...answers to those questions will reveal how much AP is willing to lie to defame the POTUS.

Yup, along with 1000's of other employees in the Executive branch. I guess that makes every employees in the Executive Branch a "Bush Aide".

What a joke the media is.

I think that Pete Yost's email is pyost@ap.org. I'm not positive about that. It would be a good idea if everybody told this yahoo how great his articles are with the AP.

This is biased crap. Abramoff lobbys whichever party is in power to help his clients. At this time it is Republicans. This does not mean that he deals exclusively with them.

That's the sheer, unmitigated hell of it. Abramoff is a piker compared to the bucks floated into 'Rat causes by scumbags like George Soros and Peter Lewis. Remember the hell the 'Rats raised about Scaife giving what was it, $100K or so to the one group that was investigating Clinton's shenanigans down in Arkansas? Soros and Lewis could buy Scaife a hundred times over when it comes to paying off the 'Rats, yet no one whispers a word about that, least of all the media.

Of course the media does not talk about it. That would be going against the cause. Can't have that now, can we?

Note that, once again, no crime was found on his part, only a "cover-up" of a crime that never happened.

My guess that Abramoff is an influence peddler for all stripes, shapes and sizes.............. So to call him just a Republican Influence Peddler is slighting his capabilities, imo.
