I just donated $100 to Diana Irey and also sent an e-mail to the fool writing this editorial.

>>>Jack Murtha is an honest, decent man who has served his country honorably as a Marine and member of Congress.<<<

Jack Murtha is a pathological liar who thinks he is a General. He basks in his own self-importance, while not realizing that his only 'claim to fame' is his incessant Bush-Bashing and anti-war rhetoric, which puts him in the same category as Cindy Sheehan. LOL! I would certainly like to see that buffoons's service record.

>>>He hasn't released his military records so we don't know if the wounds were hangnails that he took advantage of or not.<<<

We know Kerry's Purple Hearts were bogus, so I would not be surprised if his twin, Jack Murtha, also 'sought out' PH's rather than being awarded them.

No, but as I said, experience in combat, is a big part of being an expert in combat, while experience in flying, is not much towards being an expert.

Was there ever a more meaningless, self-satisfied phrase spoken than "Speaks truth to power"?

"The U.S. death toll hit 2,500 last week. White House Press Secretary Tony Snow dismissively referred to the new benchmark of carnage. 'It's a number,' he said. After 'Mission Accomplished,' we were supposed to stop counting."

TWO LINES DOWN!

"He is a physical coward who shamelessly uses the lives of Americans dying in Iraq to slur his political opponents."

'Nuff said.

But it in no way means that you will be an expert, as I said. You'll get an insight that someone else may not understand but you won't be an expert from that alone.

If the Democrats want to pass a law that only combat veterans should be allowed to vote, we'll talk. I don't think they would like the results.

If they're not prepared to go that far, they should sit down and shut up.

Jack Murtha sure has not experienced combat in Iraq.

He must have encountered some.....he had a friend write him up for 2 purple hearts when he received a scratch on his cheek and another just above his eye.....those darn staplers can be very dangerous if you don't put the staples in right.[sarc]

"Anyone uttering "speaks truth to power," unless with a sneer, deserves to be boiled in oil."

It's always about oil.

Bill Gallagher's bio. doesn't mention any military service.

A trick that liberals use is, "I was too young or too old for Vietnam', when the question is why haven't you served in the military.

Michael Medved does the same thing, when asked why he never served, he always turns the question into why he didn't want to serve in Vietnam.

All patriotic men try to enlist during their 15 or 20 year window of eligibility and the only thing that can keep them out is if the service can't accept them after a sincere effort is made to enlist.

I'd make fun of Murtha but my parents raised me as one to not mock the senile.
