Well, now, the latest Ch 13 met, "Tim" (I don't watch most of these Ch 13 mets, so don't know who all they are)

Tim Heller, Chief Meteorologist. Accent on the Chief. ;-)

Actually, he's pretty good, former military.

It's started again up here.

I'm home now, we're getting a steady drizzle at the Manor.

well, when I head to work I take 45N (from The Heights) to the beltway heading west. At 11:30am this morning I did not notice any standing water in that area, but that does not mean it was not underneath the underpass I was driving on... so be careful.

I guess I just never have Ch 13 on when he's on. Only watch it for the early morning news - 5AM onward.

Same here. I like old Doug Brown.

Heller I'll see prior to the 5 o'clock news if something of note is
happening.. or maybe all the time. I only watch then if something is happening.

At five he turns it over to Ed Brandon who I think is kind of funny, his past escapades notwithstanding.

The past escapades are what made me sick to look at him. I lived elsewhere when it happened and just heard about it when I moved back and he was off the air, TV wise, but doing radio until he could be rehabbed.

I was rather surprised when he came back on TV. But now I just can't look at him or listen to him, unless absolutely necessary, like today. I like Neil Frank during bad storms and tropical stuff, but yeah, Doug Brown for morning and forecasts. He's pretty low-key.

Billingsley I watch in the afternoons just because I watch Ch 2 News - lol, for the exact reason I used to hate it. They are so sensational and overblown on their hype - but they usually try to be first with local stuff, so that's where I turn.

Also, *blush*, I like to keep up with Radar Dog and his growth and all that. Poor thing - I wonder if he lives with Frank or if he even knows who his real master is.

Houston is in for a ton of rain tonight and probably tomorrow.

Right now, the heaviest stuff appears to be offshore, but as this low moves west, it's going to draw a ton of moisture in over the area.

We got a bit of a break this afternoon, but we deserved it. Hobby airport received 5.75 inches of rain this morning in less than 90 minutes, and over 10 inches for the day.

Do you have any idea if there is a way to get to Hobby? I know all of the roads there were flooded this morning. We are supposed to fly out for our vacation tomorrow morning, but are worried that we won't be able to get to the airport. We are contemplating changing our flight to fly out of Austin. (it's southwest and they don't fly out of Bush)

We're still pretty new to Houston. What's the story on this guy? Is he a perv or something?

I heard on the radio coming home from work an hour ago that Broadway was the only way to get to Hobby at present. All other roads were impassable.

Thanks. My husband is on the phone as I type changing our flight to Austin. We live in Katy so we should be able to get there fairly easily.

The storm system is moving slowly westward.

Toward Austin!

I think you'll beat most of it if your flight leaves fairly early tomorrow. It's hard to tell, but I'd guess this storm only moved 50 miles today.

I got to Greenspoint ok. Not really all that bad here. Just a little rain here and there.

In Clear Lake. Bayous up a lot this morning, it'll be interesting to see what things are like when I head home. Still a LOT of clouds out the office window...

That little weirdo! Salty didn't want to go out when I got home, and it wasn't raining . . . just ponds on the deck!

Yes, we need a tropical storm to fill up Lake Conroe...3.5 feet is a lot of rain to bring the lake up to normal. If pictures were rain FR would of filled us up long ago.

If you wanna hang out youve got to take her out; cocaine.
If you wanna get down, down on the ground; cocaine.
She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.

If you got bad news, you wanna kick them blues; cocaine.
When your day is done and you wanna run; cocaine.
She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.

If your thing is gone and you wanna ride on; cocaine.
Dont forget this fact, you cant get it back; cocaine.
She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.

She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.
