.......'Schumer and Kerry, it must be remembered, voted for the war in Iraq. Using the same intelligence as President Bush, and their own constitutional authority, they committed the U.S. to an invasion designed to overthrow Saddam Hussein. Once they committed our nation to that course, there was no turning back until we had established a stable government in Baghdad that would not threaten us or its neighbors.
Now with the endgame perhaps coming into sight -- if still somewhat down the road -- all they do is shout "quagmire." As long as there is an anti-war left to pander to, these politicians wouldnt see progress in Iraq if it hit them with a 500-pound bomb'

I like the following line:
As long as there is an anti-war left to pander to, these politicians wouldnt see progress in Iraq if it hit them with a 500-pound bomb.

A glimmer of light was finally beginning to shine from the other end of a long, dark Iraq tunnel. /i> Oh, bull.
Iraq has been turning positive corners since the beginning of this.
- Fastest advance and victory in history of a major, modern offensive.
- Soveriegnty returned to the Iraqi people as promised.
- Major turnout for voting for interim government, despite terrorists threats.
- Despite suicide bombings directd squarely at recruitment centers, Iraqis continue to sign up by the hundreds of thousands to fight the terrorists within their country.
- Even larger turnout for voting on Iraqi constitution, despite terrorists threats.
- Iraqi continue to sign up by the hundreds of thousands to deefned their country and initial units completing training are squarely in the fight.
- Even larger turnout for voting for government position under new constitution, including much larger than expected Sunni turnout, again, despite terrorist threats.
- Iraqi security forces taking more and more lead in combating terrorists.
- Zarqawi killed.
- Iraqi permanent government established.
So, you see, despite the difficulty of the fight, the fact is that Zarqawi's death and the formation of the permanent government are simply the continuation of a long stream of positive outcomes that have occurred since the very beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom, despite what the press and the DNC tries to picture.

http://www.iraqthemodel.blogspot.com is the website of two Iraqi bros.in Baghdad who have done an excellent job of posting their thoughts and observations. After Zarqawi's death Operation "Forward Together" was launched in Baqhdad to improve security. One of the brothers, Mohammed, wrote on June 14th in his post titled FORWARD TOGETHER: "It seems that President Bush's visit to Baghdad has given more credibility for the operation; that at least was what I heard from people around me or read in Baghdad's papers today; the visit definitely left a positive impression that America is dead serious this time about finding solutions for Iraq especially when it comes to security and critical parts of reconstruction like electricity."

The democrats are plain and simple whores. When approval ratings for the war were high they went out of there way to thump there chests and to say how much they wanted to kick insurgent ass and that not only would they be as good as bush at it but better (see Kerry campaign). Now that the numbers are down they are throwing it in reverse and demanding complete and utter surrender. I bet if you see a 10 point increase in support of the war you will see the Dem's going super hawk again.
Nothing but pandering whores and weathervaines.

Skip to comments.(reprise) DFU SONG: Runaway Train (the Dems don't like the purple fingers in Iraq)
DFU SONGS | 2005 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

MIDI - RUNAWAY TRAIN (Soul Asylum)
They just watched as the train had left the station
We've been blessed George Bush leads our nation
Every day as we're feeling very grateful
The DemocRATS are displaying how they're hateful
At good news they're reacting really sadly
They keep hoping things will go badly
There's no joy because freedom has been spreading
That Bush gets credit the traitors have been dreading
When they see a purple finger, that is when their blood runs cold
Because deep down the leftists hate America
Everywhere watch freedom's flags unfurl
Great change sweeping all around the world
Dictators everywhere are dropping
This train evil men will not be stopping
Do not ever depend on French or Germans
Or the rest of Old Euro-vermin
They have souls that have all succumbed to cancer
We are a nation that's asking God for answers
At good news they're reacting really sadly
They keep hoping things will go badly
There's no joy because freedom has been spreading
That Bush gets credit the traitors have been dreading
When they see a purple finger, that is when their blood runs cold
Because deep down the leftists hate America
Everywhere watch freedom's flags unfurl
Great change sweeping all around the world
Dictators everywhere are dropping
This train evil men will not be stopping
(musical break)
We've been trying to do what is right
This great nation is a shining light
A noble story's what we have to tell
You critics can go straight to hell!
Everywhere watch freedom's flags unfurl
Great change sweeping all around the world
Dictators everywhere are dropping
This train evil men will not be stopping
Everywhere watch freedom's flags unfurl
Great change sweeping all around the world
Dictators everywhere are dropping
This train evil men will not be stopping

Anyone hear Zbignieu Brzezinsky (sp) say that Bush visited the "so called democratic" government of Iraq in the Green Zone where they are "hiding"? I'd like to slap him. What a despicable comment. Why wouldn't a government operate within secure buildings, and on what basis can he say the Iraqi government is not democratically elected? They were, for all the world to see.

Meanwhile, back in the United States leading Democratic Senators Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) and John Kerry (Mass.), squinting into that light, seized on the same word to describe their reaction.
Aiding and abetting the enemy, plain and simple.

The death of Zarqawi was a dagger through the black hearts of the liberals. It would be as if General Giap had been killed during the Vietnam war. The left would have been so sad. At least in this war, a really really bad actor came to much deserved end, and PRAISE GOD ALMIGHTY, the last vision he saw was servicemenbers from the United States Military! And I hope, every so strongly, that one of them at least said: "President Bush sends his regards."
