Without having to scroll through 1,340 replies here, can anyone tell me what number was the last meaningful reply on this topic. Thanks a bunch!

Happy Father's Day, all. Well, Happy Son's Day, too.

Nahhhh! We had to wade through them, so do you.

(IIRC, it started deteriorating about 11 last night, if that helps.)

Actually two topics are on this thread
1. NK was making waves that they were going to test fire a long range missle. They even fueled, it seems. Japan said they would shoot it down. It was supposed to happen at 1:00AM. Bad weather showed up and it was scrubbed.
2. Someone had a dream about Oregon and the Homosexual pride parade. They didn't know if it was a vision or just a dream.

On second thought, I think I'll wade through 'em. Looks like a lot of good laughs. :)

Thanks, CindyDawg

So, I guess there was no TV or radio broadcast for the people of NK, either. Duuuuud of a story.

Love how people are coming here piling on those who said it was a non-story last night. That looks really mature of them (not).

Have any of our service folks heard any rumors about any imminent navy deployments? Or other branches.

Self manipulation of the dream is a dangerous ground to live around. Sins against the Spirit are not forgiven.

Might think about the body and soul and spirit as being a training ground for future work in a regenerated spirit, resurrected body, and sanctified soul.

Consider 2 facets of Scripture. Those who exalt themselves are made low. All things that are holy are provided by God for us. The fall in the Garden and with the fallen angels was a separation from Perfect God. In the case of Adam, his death in the Garden was a separation of his spirit from the Spirit of God.

Once we are saved and have a regenerated spirit, we can begin to discern things spiritually. Again, anything done independent of God will also be judged by Him regarding good works. If our actions are rebellious from His will it is sin, and those sins may occur in the spirit as well as in the soul or the body.

I find it encouraging in such dreams to place the situation in His hands and remain believing in Him through faith in Christ. This may be done without the left hand knowing what the right hand is doing, yet still living by His plan rather than by our own works independently of Him, which will later warrant judgment if unrighteous.

You do realize, that NK was already producing weapons grade plutonium from their graphite moderated reactors way back in 1989?

Not on the scale to which they have been and are producing weapons grade plutonium. With Clinton giving North Korea those two reactors in his Agreed Framework, you do agree that that -in and of itself- helped speed up their processing of plutonium and per a newsmax article from Oct 19, 2000 (which I'll try to find the url) - that article flatout stated that the two reactors Clinton gave North Korea -enabled them to produce 100 nukes per year (from those two reactors alone).

If there was no Clinton, NK would have continued to produce plutonium from existing sources.

I also ask you Reptile, should we then assume it's O.K. for any future President -to give nuclear reactors to Communist or Islamic countries?
How about giving nuclear reactors to Cuba? How about a future President who would give Libya a few nuclear reactors. How about passing out nuclear reactors to Islamic terrorist?

Another of my points here - is to show all readers that, based on the delusional mindset of most all Democrats, there shouldn't be another Dem. Pres. - for decades to come.

Thank you. I truly wasn't referring to anything specific. My son-in-law is a senior sub commander and served on the Vinson just after 9/11, so I'm well aware of LLSS. Bless you and your family.

And I believe that I've read that older nuclear reactors deteriorate. And the two reactors Clinton gave North Korea where modern 1994 models, unlike the reactors you are referring to - that Russia gave to North Korea in the early 1980's.

These systems are not at the point where they can stop every inbound missile. The thing is, they still provide a deterrent against launching attacks – because a country that does decide to launch missiles at the United States or any of its allies protected by a missile defense shield will not know which of its missiles will fail to reach their targets.

Certainly true, in normal situations. But one can never predict what a NUT will do.

Reptile, just came across this while looking for that Oct. 19th, 2002 Newsmax article:

"Flawed Agreed Framework Allowed North Korea to Develop Nukes, Former IAEA Official Says"

http://www.nti.org/d_newswire/issues/2006_1_13.html#A51D53FE

The 1994 Agreed Framework between North Korea and the United States contained two profound flaws that enabled Pyongyang to continue developing a nuclear arsenal and led to the current nuclear crisis, former International Atomic Energy Agency Deputy Director General Pierre Goldschmidt said this week (see GSN, Jan. 12).

The agreement “sowed the seeds of the present potentially dangerous stalemate” by allowing North Korea to restrict agency inspections, Goldschmidt wrote in a policy brief published Tuesday by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Under the terms of the deal, the United States pledged to build light-water reactors for Pyongyang and to supply fuel oil in exchange for Pyongyang’s commitment to freeze its nuclear activities, including plutonium production.

However, the Bush administration accused North Korea in late 2002 of cheating on the deal and pursuing a secret, parallel uranium enrichment program. Pyongyang retaliated by immediately expelling IAEA inspectors, then withdrawing from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty the following year. It declared it had a nuclear arsenal in 2004, according to the Yonhap News Agency.

Between 1994 and 2002, North Korea was able to continue developing its nuclear weapons program because the Agreed Framework “contained a clause that was interpreted by North Korea as limiting the IAEA’s inspection rights under the (Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement) until such time as a significant portion of the LWR project was completed,” Goldschmidt wrote.

“The second flaw of the Agreed Framework was that it allowed North Korea to retain in storage all of its spent fuel containing weapons-grade plutonium and to maintain a reprocessing facility in a state of readiness so that North Korea could restart operation at any time,” according to Goldschmidt.

“Only after completion of the LWR project would these facilities have to be dismantled. The U.S. negotiators and others recognized this flaw but could not persuade North Korea to remove it,” he wrote.
