I remember something about G Gordon being some how involved with this.

Yep. If the police have a warrant, they have a warrant. They shouldn't need to knock.

And I have the right to blow their head off as they come through the door unannounced.

Alright, Guys (Gals?), let's have at it:

-I would much rather have the police occasionally knock down the wrong door than have crooks occasionally go free to repeat their crimes. Of course, I'd prefer neither to happen. But the police are there to protect you. If they aren't, vote for a new mayor/city council, etc., and get some better police.

-I don't buy that common law jazz. If the Constitution wanted to ban knockless searches, it'd have said so, just as it explicitly bans warantless searches. Even though Scalia is 375 times smarter than I am, I still think on rare occasions I am right and he is wrong. This is one of them.

-I prefer common sense to common law. In 20 seconds the crooks can grab and load their guns, to be ready when the police finally enter.

-I don't buy this blatantly unconstitutional "exclusionary rule" stuff. Evidence is evidence, even if it's gathered wrongly. If the police violated a crook's rights in getting evidence, there are 50 other ways to deal with that that are better than letting the crook automatically go free.

Do you mind if the police kill a homeowner by mistake rather than let a crook go free?

Hmmm. Ya better at least announce BEFORE breaking down my door, not as you are breaking down my door. If I don't know who is breaking into my house yer likely to get dead.

Cool, in the end the police will be able to enter any house any time without warrant, without notice and without wearing uniforms.

Why not to allow police to confiscate valuables too?

(Simple solution: End the idiotic "war on drugs".)

Not only that but every addict ought to be given their weight in the hard drug of their choice.

And a body bag.

... I favor the police. ...

Yeah, the JBTs wouldn't have been possible without the brownshirts.

The only problem is that Indiana has a "castle" law. That is, shoot first and ask questions later.
