No Brit has won the Open since Tony Jacklin in ... 1970 was it? I don't think Monty's nerves can hold up for four rounds on INTENSE golf!

Poor Woods just boogied his fourth hole! I can see smoke coming from his ears. ............. A dreaded BOOGIE! Is that like an albatross?ROFL......... if Tiger were playing one of those exhibitions at night it might have been something like this:

UNBELEEVABLE!!
Golf...is it THE hardest MENTAL GAME EVER?
The body is willing, but the ghosts of the past make the mind twitch on the downswing!
Go home, Tiger, get the demons out.
See ya at the WESTERN!

With Tiger gone, the NY fans are going to be going wild over Mickelson. It would be hard to have missed his full swing lob chip last week. They showed it plenty. I think the remarkable aspect of the way it was played is that the ball never went above his waist and landed softly enough to control the speed going down hill. Mickelson has a 'trick shot' where he has someone stand six feet away from him, facing away with their hands cupped in fornt of them. He hits that flop shot and the ball comes down softly and is caught.
.....Then he takes a one-iron and drills a screamer right through the wicket formed by their legs!

Allowance for the death of his father, but Tiger's been choking (at the high end of the professional level, of course) for 3+ years.Tiger choking ----- oxymoron

I don't think Monty's nerves can hold up for four rounds of INTENSE golf!I agree. They say he's in a real good mood this week, a changed man .......... but you know some fans in the gallery will get on his edgy nerves and he'll FLIP OUT like always. The man has a short fuse.
I don't want people to hassle him from the gallery, but they will.

Furyk (the one armed guy trying to kill a snake in a telephone booth) may prevail!

Then he takes a one-iron and drills a screamer right through the wicket formed by their legs! Who is the sucker standing there to be the "wicket"?

Duval is three under today- so far. Wouldn't it be a fairy tale ending if he came through in the the Weekend?I have always loved David Duval. His life story is one interesting story. I'm rooting for him ............ and of course my winner, Jim Furyk.
I love these guys with a story to be told.
By the way...... did Tiger have the decency to make a substantial statement after missing the cut? I hope so.
