You forgot the part where all the Freepers in the audience cheered her on! I think she really appreciated the support in what might have been a land-mine laden situation! :-)
Ann was good. When she talked about more television was now available, she specifically mentioned Fox News. Also, she gave credit for the, "I wear their contempt as a badge of honor!", comment to its originator, Dan Quayle. There was some minor hissing in the beginning, but the audience was clearly packed in Ann's favor.
She was deferential to 69 year old George Carlin, and credited him a couple of times with being a rare intelligent liberal. Jay did try to get at her several times for her Jersey Girls comments, but he was not up to the task and did end up plugging the book. All in all, I'm glad I stayed up and watched.
Do buy the book. It has got to be killing the New York Times to list Ann as #1. Let's keep her there. I've already bought my copy from http://www.booksamillion.com/ which is far more friendly and doesn't push leftist causes as Amazon and Barnes & Noble do.
I smell a market for a new badge and I'll bet it would sell like hotcakes. Now for someone to design one. Hmmmm.
I thought Ann did rather well! Actually, I called this shot this afternoon. Carlin shut up, just like Disney/Pixar told him to do, and Leno was a good boy. My total surprise was the positive power of the Leno audience cheering Annie baby on. Methinks there are not too many people that want to directly take Ms. Coulter to task. Certainly "The Jersey Girls" are hiding in a Jersey outhouse somewhere, nowhere to be heard or seen. Talk about conviction!!! The Dem scum and vermin are going down!!!
"The funny thing is I'm calling Liberals Godless, well, there fine with that, just don't say anything about the Jersey Girls."
That is awesome.
Thanks. I didn't see it. Busy with the boys.
I'm really glad Annie was Okay as far as security. I was a little worried about that.
You mean like the Pajama Patrol one? That came originally from liberal contempt as well.
Done
"From my perspective, I'm Dorothy, and I just dropped my house on the mainstream media!"
Love that line! May she continue to Drop the House of Coulter on their pointy little heads. Would love to see her in a face off with shrillary. Would pay to see that, as a matter of fact.
I never knew Carlin was so wise. He kept his mouth shut while she was on.
She is a real Conservative, and I mostly agree with 99% of what she says. I just wouldnt want to be married to her (cue the sound of a leather whip amid much bitching..)
There is a live thread you can reference and post on (before a half-dozen other live threads were created) on Coulter's Tonight Show visit.
It just gets irritating when someone makes a live thread and immediately there's a dozen other vanity threads about the same subject.
Flame away, I'm going to bed anyway....
She specifically mentioned FOX NEWS.
And please, God, don't let her start nagging me.
that would be unbearable.
Heh! She'd strangle me because I don't know how to make lite lasagna, chicken alfredo or diet BBQ pulled pork.
Yeah, kind of like that. I know it would be a big seller, especially if it was in the shape of a donkey.
So be it. Jedi.
The Libs are clapping and saying, "Yeah, nice shtick Anne... You know you can really milk that market because there really isn't another one like you out there. God isn't showbiz great!" Anne screeches, "You Libs just don't get it do you!!! You are so superficial and shallow!!!!" Libs laughing, "Oh Anne that is GOOD, that is priceless... that sounds just like them, you deserve an Oscar, babe."
So initially if you care to really get a book up there stick with the bookstores whose numbers are counted. I know this is crazy, but true. About now, I don't think it matters for Ann's book it has had all the hype it needs, but this is something to keep in mind for the future, especially with new and unknown conservative writers.
By the way this is also where you'll see writer's do their book signings during that critical time frame. This is no mistake.
