Nice report, CG and thanks for posting.
I saw something on the TV broadcast that I haven't seen anyone mention, and wonder if you might have noticed it. At the end of the show as the camera showed the three of them, George Carlin held his fists to his mouth and rubbed them and blew on them, just as one would if it were freezing cold. Personally, I am 100% sure it was a nasty personal dig that Ms Coulter is cold.

Really cool that she knew you, Doug, though I'm not surprised.

If the Scottish chicks "fascist" remark on her guitar is referring to American Social and fiscal conservatives, she must be totally naive and ignorant of the fact that the past couple decades, if anyone is acting like text book fascists, it's the liberals who are resorting to violence and assault and other gestapo tactics to silence their opposition. It's amazing that that kind of ignorant sophomoric posturing is still taken to indicate deep thinking and compassion. That girl is a tool of the establishment, totally unbeknownst toe her, apparently.

I also liked his monologue. I'm a comedy writer myself, and I appreciate the craft of it.This may get me in some trouble, lol, but I loved it. I thought it was very creative, funny, and original. It was also pretty amazing that a guy his age did it at that speed, much less came up with all those connections between those cliches.

Thank you Cinnamon Girl and yes you came in loud and clear. It sounded like an army. It was beautiful.

Hmmm, I just assumed he wrote that but you're probably right. If so my admiration for the bit goes way down.
To: SupplySider
Jay certainly contributes to the joke ideas and he is the one responsible for the delivery. Credit goes all the way around.

After the show, we went to a restaurant across the street and Ann, ever gracious with her fans, joined the group for photos, book signings, and questions. Imagine, with her busy schedule promoting her book, that she would take the time to hang out with us. RonDog, who had orchestrated most everything on the Freeper side, was there, as was Doug from Upland, tame, Rockitz, rantblogger, Andrew Breitbart, and even a well known banned Freeper. BUMP!
You lucky dogs!

Really appreciate the AA Report (and links). Regret I, too, couldn't make it down to LA.

I asked Ann to sign my book to Doug from Upland, and she said "You're Doug from Upland? It's great to meet you." Did she happen to mention "subterfuge?" :^)
