"I'm well aware of what you mention but I asked for delegated power." "Power to abuse citizens isn't "delegated," but the power to direct Government agencies to harass and abuse citizens is used nevertheless."
That was, and is, the answer you'll keep getting.

The First Amendment of the Constitutions leaves that right to everybody. Even harpie-rat Jersey politicians." Constitution doesn't allow any of these though, and I'll cut and psate from post 221:..................... That is exactly the direction the Joisey harpy politicians are heading.
When the Jersey, harpy, and haggy politicians go in that direction, fry their butts.
In the mean time advocate to vote their sorry butts out.

Are you sure that Churchill's comments drove anyone away from his side? It seemed to me that it made him a hero of the loony left.

As you are both pointing out, Government Officials are trotting out the Jersey Girls as an excuse to censor the First Amendment. They are a "shield" to be used by politicians to deprive others of a Constitutional right. Ann has them pegged, oh does she EVER have them pegged!

Nope.
The entire state of NJ is parodied BECAUSE it elected nitwits like that many times, and BECAUSE it continues to elect and run liberal people like these women consistently and continually.

Lis Wiehl used to have really frizzy hair. Then she got a makeover when she became a legal analyst on Fox. Greta van Susteren had the same deal: a big makeover. What is it with fox legal women?

Governments don't have a right to harass private citizens.
I agree but who will stop them if they do? No one - and they will/can make you life a living hell. Ask the clinton victims who 'just happened' to have their taxes audited by the gov't.

"In a joint press release issued Friday, New Jersey Assemblywomen Joan Quigley and Linda Stender say they want New Jersey retailers to ban the sale of [Coulter's] book throughout the state."
These Nazis have brass balls: applying pressure -- as Assemblywomen -- as to what, or what not, one citizen may(LEGALLY) say, or write; by attempting to stifle same, by calling for New Jersey retailers to ban the sale of miss Coulter's book throughout the state.
F**K them.
Every American should be deeply offended at this attack on the LEGAL exercise of freedom of speech, whether they agree with miss Coulter's ideas, or not!
These Assemblywomen themselves deserve to be upbraided for their reprehensible -- and most inappropriate -- behaver in this matter.

"Tasteless as Ms. Coulter's comments are, if Hustler's mock interview of Jerry Falwell is "free speech," so is Ms. Coulter's screed."
There is a BIG difference between tasteless statements(subjective) and false statements (objective). Her free speech is generally truthful whereas hustler was a falsehood.
Often the truth may be taken as tasteless, e.g., saying, "Rock Hudson was a queer." is tasteless but true. Saying "So and so is a homosexual." Isn't tasteless if true but a lie if not.

Nothing surprises me about New Jersey. This state has the dumbest voters in the country. When you look at the politicians we have had over the last 10 years, (dems) it is hard to fathom how the idiot voters can still vote democrat. Yet they do. It reminds me of the geniuses who voted school bus Nagin in.

David Horowitz has pointed out the since the early part of the 20th Century the left has hated the U.S. Constitution. They hated the idea that people had statutory Constitutional rights. Quigley and Stender are carrying on that fight.

Who said they were immune from criticism? Coulter's statements go well beyond criticism. Really? I thought Ann was quite kind to them, I can think of many other things to say about them far harsher than that. Here's a thought, if you don't like her book don't buy it. Stop justifying the nazi concept of banning books, we are in a free country still. The left believes that the only free speech is theirs and apparently you agree.

I agree. Now, they are using retailers for their political gain. They, also, are taking money from these retailers - profits from a "best seller".

"That may be the dumbest argument I've read on the entire Internet"
It's going to be really hard to find anyone that even comes close lives on the same planet with you as far as stupidity goes.
"An entire state is marginalized because of the actions of an ex-governor who had to resign in disgrace?"
Yes.
We haven't even talked of The Torch, the corrupt sleazy John Corzine, and all them Joisey mafia wise guys that keep burying people they shot in the swamps at the Meadowlands.
Let's face it, Joisey is swamp of sleaze and corruption.
And you are truly stuck on stupid.
