The Left has long trumpted the idea that we must try to "understand" the root causes of terrorism, to "sympathize" with the viewpoints of Al-Qaida and others, to view the world through their eyes. Well, one thing that we know about the Arab culture is the SHAME of dying a SHAMEFUL death. And getting hit with a 500-lb bomb right out of nowhere, on the basis of tips derived from other Iraqis, is surely a SHAMEFUL death. Death and destruction has come upon him and his cohort in a SHAMEFUL fashion. It would have been different had he died in a martyrdom operation--THEN, his followers could have viewed his death with HONOR. But no: he is vanquished in a SAFE-HOUSE, like a coward.

The left bemoans, wrings hands, and disapproves - therefore, the action causing them to do such is very, very good!

We need to realize that we are not only at war aginst terrorists abroad, we are at war with the left here at home.

So, when are we going to face them down and hold them accountable as the ignorant, lying, godless, perverted, obscene, baby-killing, hypocritical, socialist, seditious, anti-American leeches that they are?

If we can't deal with our own, what can we do anywhere else?

David Corn at The Nation charges President Bush with inventing Zarqawi’s threat – and insists Bush played into al-Qaeda’s hands by killing him.

They're continuing to come Unglued, unhinged, insane, and off their rocker

"Bush did not mention that it was his invasion of Iraq that fully allied Zarqawi with al-Qaeda."

Bush never said this, because it wasnt true! Zarqawi was a terrorist since the early 1990s, and was trained in an Al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan *prior* to the invasion of Iraq.

Once again, the Left lies and then accuses Bush of 'lying' because Bush doesnt agree with their warped view of things.

" Recently a client of mine, a certain Middle Eastern figure, was accidently killed in a terrible aircraft accident when two of the aircraft's bombs fell on his humble abode.

...

Additionally, my clients loyal jackass was also a victim of the tragic incident. Thus this letter is two-fold in purpose. First to seek your assistance and secondly to notify you of the loss of the jackass as its next of kin."

Great one!

The left is all you say and more. However, too many conservatives believe that they are harmless loud-mouths who don't need to be taken seriously. We need to get beyond that. Ann Coulter is trying to face them down and call them to account but even many conservatives are heading for the tall grass instead of supporting her. If we act like cowards we will pay the price.

Whatever it is, the Democratic Party of today isn't the same one that FDR and Truman knew.

I believe they would both be appalled by today's Democrats.

Zarqawi could not be reached for comment.

That is the best one liner I have heard in a while!

Back to the subject at hand, it is kind of funny to me the reaction to getting Zarqawi. On one had, we have those who are cheering lauding that it is a great victory. Which it is, but the war will go on.

On the other hand there are those who seem to think it is a "tragedy" and means we should pull out now. I get the feeling this group is determined not to be happy even if the US and the West wins the latest round of Crusaders and Jihadists.

I would love to face them down, but even if we did, would we make it on TV. And, with the exception of Coulter and a few others, Conservatives do not get enough time debating in the media to know how to do it.

As an example, someone taped Bill Bennett on Jon Stewart for me (I refuse to watch Stewart) and Stewart KILLED Bennett.

That was tough; I had expected better.

"These people do not want to fight to win or spread American ideals abroad."

I hope you meant These people do not want to fight to win. They also do not want to spread American ideals abroad. My understanding of conservatism does not include fighting in other lands to spread American ideals. That is a bit like conversion by the sword, don't you think?

Love your Denny Crane quotes by the way.
