The picture frame was ugly!!!!
So was Zarqawi's soul!! It is fitting.

>>>More cautious voices America-hating liberal pussies broached the idea -- though at the peril badge-of-honor of having their patriotism questioned {no question about it. They are not patriotic}-- that this may not be the desired turning point in the conflict.
Fixed it.

Actualy I'd have prefered his head to be seperated from his body and sitting on his back much like he did to his victims, but of course that's just me.

It is likely they had to reattach his face so Iraqis might have a chance of recognizing him as dead, as we did with Uday and Qusay. Otherwise, a conspiratorial culture (e.g., DU) would claim Zarqawi was not killed and still lived to provide inspiration.

Every wack job Leftist from the author of this article to Harry Reid in the US Senate thought it was a bad thing. NO one on the Left has come out and cheered this. Last week the left was criticizing the Bush administration for failing to catch this nutball. Now they're calling it a political stunt when we do get him.
I would like to thank the folks involved in this. The F-16 Falcon pilots and ground crew, the intel folks, and the guys at Eglin who put developed the laser guided munitions. Ya done good!!!

"It is likely they had to reattach his face"
Made me chuckle.
When Uday and Qusay were killed, some smart freeper said "someone pulled an ix-nay on U-day." Still makes me laugh.

Even as the news was greeting a sleepy America, bursting forth on the morning talk programs and racing around the Internet... Guess he isn't part of the bursting forth and racing crowd.

"Zarqawi's face was seen inside what appeared to be a professional photographic mat job, with a large frame, as if it were something one might preserve and hang on the wall next to other family portraits."
Listen, commie... In America, we do things FIRST CLASS!!!

It warmed my heart to think about what the soldier who was tasked to present that phote was thinking and feeling when he put the mat and gilt frame around the death head.
What the WaPo is printing under their masthead today is truly astounding. Does Michael Berg work there?

This guy is just your run-of-the-mill Lefty scum journalist. He says most of America is against the war. Wrong! Some are against it I admit, but not most. He should realize that SOME in this country would love to see the day that the lefty traitors are made to pay for what they did in Vietnam and what they are doing now. (A settling of past due accounts you might say). I am sure that one day the left will start trouble and that the patriots in this country will stop them in their tracks.

Actually it looks like a fairly plain standard frame. They probably yanked something off a wall that was about the right size and slapped in his photo. It's faster & easier than adhesive-mounting it to a piece of cardboard or foamcore.

Tell me Katie didn't wear Black yesterday!I happened to surf by ABC yesterday morning and Robin Roberts looked like her best friend had died. LOL! She was really grim.
To: CindyDawg
You say, "That picture is strange. He doesn't look like he just died."
What are you trying to say exactly? That he has been dead for a while? I just don't see anything strange about the picture.

What is the WP putting under their masthead today?
Thanks!

That frame is part of my Photoshop program.

I think his head should be stuffed and mounted, and hung on the wall of the oval office, like a hunting trophy. /sarc
Wait, that would demean the other stuffed game.

I think his head should be stuffed and mounted I'd hate to be the taxidermist who had to discern which end was which, undoubtedly it would end up in a coin toss.
