'I've got one the Ishapore Arsenal reworked so it's chambered in 7.62 NATO. It's an excellent bolt rifle.'
I like mine, they are phenomanally accurate at range and sufficently heavy to make a good club unlike todays plastic pop-guns. My bayonet adds to it's effectiveness also! A pistol might be handier round the house, but you can count the number of home invasions with guns annually in the UK on one hand, so I'm far more likely to win the lottery 4 weeks straight than to ever confront an armed assailant!
That's sure pretty. ;o) I'm going to buy one of those just as soon as I can get to town.
I'm having trouble locating the correct bayonet for mine. I spent quite a bit of time refinishing the wood on the old piece so that it looks quite probably better than it did new.
It would be a shame to put an incorrect piece of steel on it.
I understand about modern materials and all that, but I do miss having a heavy bit of wood you can smack the crap out of a bad guy with. I'd be afraid to do it with my AR, but with the Enfield one has choices. You can shoot them or just crack their skull with it and save your ammo for the range.

That's rubbish, you've obviously never been to New York, they're very rude there. . . . .
For the premise to work, everyone needs to be permitted to carry a weapon. Most everyone in NYC is not permitted (damn, if only there were a Constitutional amendment that allowed for this), therefore, they're assholes to each other.
Hehehe...I believe even in Texas you'd have a hard time convincing a jury that a 1200 yard shot was in self defense...
BTW..is not a merkin a wig for the public area? :D
Obviously you should never make your pubic area public...unless you're a paid professional.
Hand guns used to be legal in the uk. By your logic, I assume the hand gun murder rate was higher at that time.
