Of course it does. Comparing men to other men, making them your standard, is foolish, which is what this whole thread does. It was nothing but a colossal waste of time.

Bush supporters need to quit comparing GW to Reagan, both favorably and unfavorably, and convince their hero to do more stuff that compares with the portions of the GOP platform that will make conservatives happier with him.

Good night.

"Don't tell me that I 'didn't say that.'"

I was acknowledging your point, not contradicting. We agree that tax cuts are conservative.

To: George W. Bush; All

.

As President BUSH asked an attacking news media in a Presidential News Conference not long ago...

"What's wrong with spreading LIBERTY and Freedom around the world?"

After all, doesn't our own Pledge of Allegiance end in the words...

.."With LIBERTY and Justice for All"..?

.

True and it's true for ALL AF sites.

If they REALLY meant what they say, then they wouldn't post about FR, Jim, various different FREEPERS, and/or try to post here again and again.

Yes, demonization played a huge factor in public perception of Newt, but the adultery dirt was true, and the Clintons used it to blackmail Newt when he came to negotiate with the White House about signing certain legislation as written.

I doubt the demonization had nothing the do with his resignation. I think he realized he had lost all effectiveness as Speaker because of the blackmail, and he resigned so the House could find a more effective Speaker.

Uneducable? Or just ERINACEOUS? :)

Remember that one!

BS. (very) few moderate/conservative Republicans would argue that the President is doing an EXCELLENT job on the WOT, judiciary, etc.

Maybe you haven't noticed that many on the far right are abandoning this president on EVERYTHING he stands for because they do not agree with him on absolutely everything.

Bush has stood up to terrorism; in this, he is greater, by far, than Reagan.

Don't fall into the trap of rating historic actions by contemporary standards.

Different time, different priorities. If you remember the bombing of Libya, you know that Reagan hardly failed to stand up to terrorism. After all, he was swept into office, in part, on the basis of Carter's weak response to Iranian terrorists. The terrorists knew where Reagan stood - that's why the hostages were released on inauguration day.

Oh, most definitely erinaceous! :-)

Momurdotes is a magnificent word and you should have hit any number of posters to this thread with it. LOL

NO, it doesn't. And only a warped view of Scripture based on your own narrow political view would make you say it does.

That verse doesn't back you up a single bit.

It is WRONG to use Scripture to back up your politics, EV. We must base our politics on what we read in Scripture........not twist Scripture to fit our politics.

Your values are in reverse order.

I seriously need to keep this resource right at my side and use these words when appropriate.

And then laugh at the thought that the poor schlep I use them on is frantically trying to find them in his dictionary! :)

That RETROACTIVE INCREASE INCREASE even taxed the DEAD! Yes, that's right, because it was RETROACTIVE, if someone had died the year before, but had already paid taxes, his or her estate was TAXED YET AGAIN!

I hope they're all lurking on this thread, nopardons, and read this.....

I would seriously suggest psychological counseling for the whole lot of them.

They hate us, yet they want to be part of us. And when they succeed for a short time, they blow their cover and get banned again. amd start the cycle all over again.

So they're mentally ill and stupid at the same time.

No wonder we don't understand them!

Yes, you do! They are fantastic words and quite appropriate to many posters. And the great thing about them, is that you aren't swearing, using an obscenity, and we all can learn new words. :-)

On I understand it ... they think finally the 3rd party has a chance to win

It ain't going happen .. in the times we live in today, there is no wiggle room to give control over to the Dems

What I don't understand is .. why these people don't fight in the PRIMARIES to replace the rino republicans

Why do they ALWAYS wait till the General Elections to whine and complain
