1. That has been my experience with people who object to large quantities of legal immigrants - it wasn't really the illegal aspect that was bothering them.

2. Hmmm over crowded hospitals, full prisons, wage issues - all the fault of illegals and nobody else bears any responsibility -that's seems a bit convenient since it allows everyone else to have no responsibility at all. The problem is in the word "we." Certain business interests in the US have have subverted the enforcement of law by buying our politicians. In our CA Central Coast valley those business interests that use illegals for cheap labor are largely foreign owned--Japan, Holland, etc.

We are not experiencing an invasion by a foreign country which is what the founders meant. It doesn't mean I am for illegal immigration though. I am in favor of a sea-tosea wall, stiff penalties for employers and no amnesty. But I'm not willing to twist words to support an agenda. The truth is the truth. Snow is exactly right.
