Ask them if they would mind having a demonrat in charge of funding the war on terror.
Ask them if they would mind a demonrat president as their commander in chief.
George Bush is done, he's serving his 2nd term now. He can't stay president. And again, WHOSE FAULT IS IT THAT PEOPLE ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THE REPUBLICANS/RINOS????? Could it be their policies don't reflect their constituents???? Could it be their lack of spine when dealing with democrats???? What are ya gonna do when 30 million illegals can legally vote? Yeah, I'm sure the very next thing they're gonna do after getting their right to vote is to join the GOP. Gee, I hate it that your pitchin fits over my opinion being that I'm so pathetic and all.
Unless, of course, if the impact you want is a "new America".
We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture. Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende. For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America. As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico. George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000. |
Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:
In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. My Bush Epiphany By Lawrence Auster
Having served under both Republicans and Democrats, I can say there was not much difference between the two.
And if one does consider it a large threat, it calls for leaving your comfort zone and hitting the streets and demonstrating. In a nation where most are not paying serious attention, it's a big risk. Perhaps too big a risk.
After all you are not a protected class, your not illegals who can safely gather and demonstrate peacefully. If you try it, it might mean water cannons, rubber bullets, a club upside the head, or getting chewed on by a really mean dog. After all, and example may have to be made of those that would stand in the way of the big picture. One just doesn't know. It's a risk.
Bash him? I want to vote for him!
Indeed. Well, I hope they enjoy that booming economy built on exploitation until the exploited, fed up with it and empowered by amnesty-derived voting rights, decide a Marxist in the White House is more to their liking.
Carter and Clinton, no difference than Reagan and Bush?
My son served four years during X42. Somehow your suggestion that there was no difference between Reagan and Clinton leaves me in disbelief.
Just, and "if the shoe fits," comment. Who put you in charge of reading assignments?
I find invincible ignorance every day of the week.
It's a battle, but someone has to do it.
So did I and in the Corps, the difference was negligible.
Ask yourself, "Why is this coming up now? It's been going on for over 30 years."
The reason this is "coming up now," is that now, it is safe to discuss, because it is over. The deal has been done. The foundation for the blending of North American countries is already laid, and the first storey is already half-built.
Within a century, Hispanics, i.e., Ibero-Amerindians, will become a major component of our population's genetic make-up. E.G., Hispanics already outnumber African- Americans by a huge margin. With the deal done, the only real question is, "are we going to be (or look like) another Chile or Argentina, or another Bolivia or Guatemala?" Only time and the intermarriage rates will answer that question.
Debate this all you wish, my friends, and by all means, let's get control of those borders. But within a century and a half, the population of this country will in all probability, be only a bit different from the population of the rest of this hemisphere to the south.
Sounds like what Pat Buchanan wrote (or rather predicted) three years ago or so in a book.
Ain't that the truth? Those damn illegals steal all the good paying jobs and collect welfare checks. They spread disease while draining the American health care system dry. They commit murder and rape and fill up the prisons even though our corrupt government looks the other way. They are destroying our American culture even though they refuse to assimilate and take part in the communities in which they live. We spend billions educating their children and they still can't speak English...I need a freakin' score card to keep up with all the contradictory reasons I should hate them.
What the conservatives need today is a man like Tancredo who can distill this raw hate into our own American Reichskristallnacht.
Well Said!
Not if I takem out first but the true problem is the 30-ish inexperienced lemming crowd and ususally lemmings take care of themselves.
It's all about survival of the US, and these invading leeches are nothing but non-English-speaking liberal deadbeats, sucking off the taxpayer-funded benefits like their democRAT brethren.
Saving 10 cents on a head of lettuce isn't a worthy gain in exchange for the billions of wasted local, state, and federal tax dollars that go to support the illegals. Instead of importing other nation's deadwood, we should be finding a way to export ours.
