I question the timing of this announcement
"The pictures came from a hardline Sunni group"
More proof the BBC is actively working with the enemy.

Do these people really think American Marines shot children in the head?
The Left is dangerous, folks. They hate us more than they hate the terrorists. In fact, they love the terrorists because they kill American soldiers.

Yup, this one sounds fishy. The other incident is far more troubling because it appears that our own military has reached a preliminary opinion that the Marines shot innocents.

Unless it says "Let's kill some civilians, hooaahh!" I won't be convinced.

"The pictures came from a hardline Sunni group"
And who has a proven track record for deliberately shooting and killing Iraqi civilians? Hardline Sunni groups.
To: Axlrose
The BBC is as RED as they come.
Don't believe those LIARS.
They're liars just like that traitor McGurk and the Commie rag "Time" are.
Yes, the Luces of "Time" were IN BED with the Stalinists.

President Bush needs to put an end to all these witch hunts and grant pardons to all American forces in Iraq.

The Haditha incident is REALLY troubling because the chain of command may have been trying to hide it.
Bad news is best dealt with openly and honestly.

But a report filed by Iraqi police accused US troops of rounding up and deliberately shooting 11 people in the house, including five children and four women, before blowing up the building....shows a number of dead adults and children at the site with what...John Simpson says were clearly gunshot wounds...The pictures came from a hardline Sunni group opposed to coalition forces. Iraqi police 'moles' enter the scene afterward, shoot corpses, show reporter, take pictures, fabricate story. How hard would that be?

The pictures came from a hardline Sunni group opposed to coalition forces. That's all I need to know.
These butchers wouldn't give a second thought to grabbing bystanders and staging incidents like these ... they understand that this is a war of attrition.
The locals, even if they are sympathetic to the idea of a free Iraq (which in Sunni dominated regioins is not likely) won't step up and speak the truth because they know if the do their heads will be off before the sun goes down.

No, it is really troubling because the news media will make 10,000 times a bigger issue of this one incident than they will make of the 5,000 attacks against civilians perpetrated by the insurgents. I take it as a "given" that in a war of this magnitude there will be a few incidents where our troops violate the rules of war. I also take it as a given that they will be punished if the incidents come to light. Just as was Abu Ghraib, this will be blown up entirely out of proportion. That's what's really troubling.

President Bush needs to put an end to all these witch hunts and grant pardons to all American forces in Iraq. That would only make the hunts intensify.
I just got done reading how one of the three officers allegedly relieved of command due to Haditha (and then we found out yesterday that WASN'T TRUE), he said in the weeks after the Haditha attack he met repeatedly with local Iraqi leaders. Nobody said a word about any civilian massacres.
Well, that's certainly inconvenient. It's amazing what happens to these cut and run "cold blooded murder" cases when the other side gets to tell its story.

Question is, can we have freedom without a free media ?
Also
Why does a free media seem to always "hang to the left ?"

The video tape obtained by the BBC shows a number of dead adults and children at the site with what our world affairs editor John Simpson says were clearly gunshot wounds. What caliber/cartridge was used to inflict the woulds?
Were they inflicted before or after death?
To: nonsporting
Look, that doesn't matter. John Simpson, who has had a long career finding ways to undermine America, says who did it.
Why let details get in the way.
Why do we let this organisation in the country ?
Zimbabwe has banned them, and i haven't seen any BS about that country for a while.
Its time for leadership Mr President. Take a stand.
