The Gulf waters off the coast of Alabama are already higher than normal for this time of year.
I drove the length of the Gulf Coast last week. It still looks like a bomb went off up and down the coast still. Less than half the people who lived in New Orleans have returned...the sights there are unbelieveable.

Here's hoping we are all spared the fury of the last few years. I know my family needs a break :-)

The 2006 Hurricane Season officially begins today (wiping brow, and dusting cobwebs from the six month haitus). Can't say I've missed the long 2005 season.
You are on this ping list because you requested to be added during the past several years. If you wish to be added or removed from the hurricane ping list (occasionally a high volume list when the surf is up), please send FReepmail here.
Howlin, Gabz and I will be operating Hurricane Central from the usual bunker locations again this year.
Be prepared...

I'll just say it right now.
We wouldn't be having all these hurricanes if the United States would agree to the Kyoto Protocol.
Since we don't, it can only mean one thing.
This is all Bush's fault!

"Be prepared..." I am, like never before. I ran out of gasoline and sugar last year when the power was off for seven days. Also, I got the portable AC's working with the generator now.
I've 'boosted' all my supplies to comprehend a Bird Flu pandemic too.

LOL -- OK, I'll stop now...lol.
We have to be serious. Hurricane season is upon us and my daughter is still living on Grand Cayman Island, albeit, FULLY insured.

Howlin, Gabz and I will be operating Hurricane Central from the usual bunker locations again this year. I keep being told that Howlin and I are in the scope this year.......let's just hope NONE of us.
Be prepared...
Hurricanes, bird flu - what's the diff? Preps are pretty much the same. Other than plywood - don't need that for bird flu.
