The solution to supermarket checkout and bank teller lines has been available for decades and can be implemented everywhere immediately and we'll forget in less than one attention span cycle we ever had to wait in line.

I didn't read it all either, but the Left usualy takes the position that we should learn to sacrifice, which is what we'll all be doing when they get power, or when Republicans finish becoming leftists. Anyhow, IMO, this "sacrifice" thing that they are always pushing is part of the general desire of the Left to deconstruct civilization, so no surprise if they want everyone to wait around forever at the pleasure of bureaucrats.

5 min on hold, 15 minutes in line ... not instant gratification ... I have better things to do than wait.

Something tells me this pool took a very long time to take. No doubt the pollsters wore out a lot of shoe leather getting the best results possible.

oh darn,
I do not like waiting in line at Burger King for over 5 minutes while I am hungry for my sandwich. Plus, I am in a hurry you know. Have to make it back in time to get ready and be over at my girlfriends house 15 minutes early. Even though I know she will not put the DVD in without me. Shoot, then I run into traffic. that sucks. life is sooo hard in here the USA. we are sooo oppressed.
What really errkks me is that I have to wait for popcorn to pop !

Whenever they start scolding us for our impatience I know they're preparing us for the next attack on efficiency. And I'm happy to see them mention the DMV, because there is no better example of Life Under Massive Government than the DMV. Whenever I talk to liberals I tell them, "If you get your way, every day of your life will be like a visit to the DMV."
