This is all very superficial. The US exercises it's right to be soverign and a couple of days later we are threatened by lawsuits of the President of Mexico. I really wish that Bush was sincere about this and did not do this as a way to appease the general populus. All Illegals should be returned to their country of origin immediately. Unfortunately the system that I work in only returns them once they have served their time in US Correctional facilities!!!!!!

Don't trust President Bush anymore or any of his family!

President Bush's legacy will be to create a 3rd world country out of the USA!

The FICA TAX WILL BE DOUBLED OR TRIPLED WITH NOT LIMITS!

MEDICARE TAXES WILL GREATLY INCREASED!

MY BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT HAS BEEN PRESIDENT BUSH AS HE HAS BECOME TED KENNEDY'S LAP DOG!

I'LL VOTE FOR RUDY GUILIANI NEXT TIME. AT LEAST YOU KNOW WHERE GUILIANI STANDS. AS FOR THE SOCIAL ISSUES, WHO CARES? THERE IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE ABORTION IN THIS COUNTRY & IT WILL NEVER CHANGE. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HAS BEEN THE PREDOMINANT RELIGION IN MEXICO & LOOK WHAT THE COUNTRY HAS TURNED OUT TO BE. THE ILLEGAL ALIENS WILL BE THE SAME AS THEY WERE MEXICO.

>>>>>I'LL VOTE FOR RUDY GUILIANI NEXT TIME.

Rudy Giuilani is a liberal Republican. The vast majority of conservatives will never support his campaign for POTUS. Voting for Giuliani is the same as voting for a liberal Democrat. If Rudy does run, I'm afraid he'll never get my vote. It'll be a cold day in hell before I vote for liberal for POTUS, "R" or no "R"!

I agree. Rudy Giuilani is a social liberal ... it goes well beyond abortion. The election of Rudy or McCain would be the end of the GOP as we know it.

"Unfortunately the system that I work in only returns them once they have served their time in US Correctional facilities!!!!!!"

I have no problem with that. We should make all illegal aliens serve their full sentencesin the United States for any crimes they commit in United States. That is money well spent in my opinion. Anything else amounts to a license to commit crime.

I stay away from hyperbole. The truth and the facts do my talking.

This idea of electing liberals, Democrats and even centrists to public office is not the answer. That is bad politics for the rightwing. There is no getting around the fact, conservatives are frustrated and even angry with Bush and his domestic agenda. Whether it be running up federal spending, expanding the bureaucracy or supporting liberal immigration policy, conservatives see Bush as the problem. A problem I might add, that could cost the GOP control of Congress this fall.

Everytime the GOP sticks to conservative principles and advances the conservative agenda, they're successful. When the GOP moves away from conservatism, it pays a price.

We currently have 37,000 troops guarding the 151-mile border between North Korea and South Korea, but we have fewer than 12,000 agents to monitor 2,000 miles of the U.S./Mexico border.

This bears repeating.

I'm in construction now, and have yet to have meet a single person who think's this is a good idea.
But there's hope. Maybe more Democrats will lose office over this than Republicans.

Could be Rovemeisters' greatest coup!.....

"I'm in construction now, and have yet to have meet a single person who think's this is a good idea."

So, are you saying that you have yet not met anyone on-the-job who opposes illegal immigration---or are you saying the opposite?---that everyone you meet on the job opposes illegal immigration?

Sorry I wasn't more clear. EVERYONE in the industry hates the idea of Bush's Amnesty.
Even guys who employ the illegals. The cop out is 'market forces' forces them to.

Remember I'm in business, so I don't wear my opinions on my sleeve, but I don't shut my ears.

Thanks for the clarification. It appears that in some other industries, employers of illegals are more positive about it. At least, I assume this is what is behind Bush's position, echoed by the Wall Street Journal, etc. Of course, the Democrats have a separate motivation---it will put them in power.

"The cop out is 'market forces' forces them to."

I wouldn't call it a copout. If illegal aliens are permitted, which they are, a business has to employ them to be competitive. That's how the market system works. The key is to set up the rules the right way---to benefit society.

"Remember I'm in business, so I don't wear my opinions on my sleeve, but I don't shut my ears."

I'm sure people in that situation have to walk a fine line.
