You all are making me out to be some mall-ninja gun-nut psychopath with a bloodlust.

No, you made yourself out to be that.

When did it become ok for law enforcement to break down your door, UNANNOUNCED and for no good reason?

That's not what this is about. Read your initial remarks in context to see why so many are perceiving you to be a nutcase.

From the looks of this ruling? Whatever the cops say they are. That's kinda spooky....

Uh, no. No crime occurred or was observed when police illegally entered homes and took weapons in NO.

"Uh, no. No crime occurred or was observed when police illegally entered homes and took weapons in NO."

But there was an "emergency" which was was resulting in gun violence in NO. Did the court limit the holding to just those incidents where the emergency exists exclusively within the home and is personally observed by the officer? Or did it allow any warrentless search/seizure when the cops believe there is an emergency "in the air" and entry and search is necessary to stop community violence occasionied by the emergency. Guess I'll have to read the decision. I have learned by experience, NEVER accept the media's characterization of a legal opinion because they get it totally wrong a large percentage of the time.
