"Students were given stickers with the words that could be affixed to the book if they so chose."
Stupidity...
They should have included "In G-D We Trust", if someone is "offended" they could get a sticker to cover it.

Michael Linz, a Dallas attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, said the district's move was appropriate, sensitive and constitutional.I always say that word in my mind the way Savage says it.

Of course they did.

"Janet Travis, principal of Liberty Elementary School in Colleyville, wanted to avoid offending students of different religions, "
So in order to dothis she decided to offend every christian.
Im sorry but the "Offend other religions" comment dont wash with me...as my father says "that ole dog wont hunt" Clearly offending someone isnt at issue since the decision offends chirstians. Ironically this deciison offends more people than the reverse policy would have since the country is about 85% christian.

Since the statement was already on the nickel, why did it have to go? Why not a blank sticker to place over it?
The only good thing about a leftist takeover of this country would be that their masters would have them shot first.

"Why not a blank sticker to place over it?"
Because that would promote religiously biased censorship.
Oh...wait...never mind.
They've been there and done that already....:)

Stupidity can be found everywhere. I remember in KY when the license plates included two tiny steeples which represented the KY Derby, Churchill Downs racetrack. The intent was KY culture and history, something they are famous for.
Hundreds of people complained that the two tiny steeples could conjure up images of "gambling" and indecency, so the state had to print tiny decals to cover the tiny steeples.
Now, this business of omitting God from our money is entirely different and rather less silly. No matter what religion, other than atheism, in God we trust.

"was appropriate, sensitive and constitutional."
If you rearrange the letters in "sensitive" you get;

We're trapped in a PC net and being sensitively squeezed to death.

No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins, period.
