Not only disarm us, but Clinton issued the clarion call, and Al Gores new movie out. Give up the war on terror and go after Global warming, a bigger threat according to Clinton. Wake up folks!
really good choices are they not!!!
You're kidding right?
Richard A. Viguerie of American Target Advertising, a direct marketing advertising company, pioneered political/ideological direct mail in the 1960s and 1970s. That marriage of direct mail and politics enabled grassroots Americans to participate in the political process to a greater degree than ever before and built the conservative movement that elected President Reagan in 1980. Viguerie's effort was so important that John F. Kennedy Jr.'s magazine, GEORGE, included it on its list of the defining political moments of the 20th century. In December 1999, Lee Edwards in a WASHINGTON TIMES column listed Richard Viguerie as one of 13 "Conservatives of the Century." He is now pioneering the use of the Internet on behalf of conservative free-market politicians and organizations.
The WASHINGTON POST called him the "conservatives' Voice of America." He has been credited with forming dozens of conservative organizations and with helping them grow stronger through political action, think tanks, publications, and representation in the U.S. House and Senate, state legislatures and other levels of government.
In 1979, TIME magazine named him one of 50 future leaders of America. In 1981, PEOPLE magazine named him one of the 25 most intriguing people of the year. Scheduled for publication this coming summer is his new book, AMERICA'S RIGHT TURN: HOW THE CONSERVATIVES USED NEW AND ALTERNATIVE MEDIA TO TAKE POWER, written with David Franke. It is the first in-depth look at how direct mail, talk radio, cable TV, and the Internet have changed American politics.
I like psychobabble ... especially when it is directed at vegetables. I'm voting for the psychologist/farmer. :)
So I go to my mailbox and get my ballot pamphlet..ENTIRELY in Spanish..Sure I'm sure it was all a big misunderstanding. But thats whats driving my anger. That that could even happen has me spitting nails. Can you imagine the government processing 50 million illegals? Thats why I send pesos the Republican party.
GAH!
Richard Viguerie practically invented direct mail fundraising, leading to the election of countless Republicans. He compiled a list, himself, of around 12,000 Goldwater voters, sent them fundraising appeals, and it took off from there. He had a very important role in the election of Ronald Reagan, and was rewarded with a position in the Reagan administration for his efforts. He continues to head up the company he created, now called American Target Advertising, in Manassas, VA, which produces fundraising direct mail for conservative candidates, in addition to polling and electronic media efforts.
He is a legend in my industry, direct marketing. He is reporting what he is seeing, and is advocating an effort at resolving the problem. It would be wise not to discount what the man has to say.
A funding father (of the Conservative Movement)

Before Rush Limbaugh, there was Richard Viguerie. Many conservatives today listen, learn and heed the advice articulated by the radio talk show icon. But before Rush, conservatives for nearly 40 years looked to Richard Viguerie, the funding father of the conservative movement, for the "right word" on policy and politics. Before Mr. Limbaugh, it was Mr. Viguerie whose mail was delivered over hill and dale, through rain, sleet, and snow, to conservative donors and activists, prodding them to take action.
While he no longer funds an estimated 70 percent of the conservative movement's revenues a calculation made by his political enemies Mr. Viguerie, who turns 70 this month, no longer has to, because Viguerie-trained acolytes are active from coast to American coast.

In its farewell issues, George, the lively political magazine founded by the late John F. Kennedy Jr., named the 100 top political forces in the 20th century. Richard Viguerie was listed as No. 62. That's a colossal achievement for a shy, bald guy from Texas who for 40 years has been the bane of America's liberal establishment.
On behalf of the hundreds of people you have mentored over the years, the dozens of successful organizations you have helped launch, and the millions of Americans who have benefited from your political principles, I wish the Funding Father of American Conservatism a Happy Birthday.
James L. Martin is president of the 60 Plus Association.
Viguerie has been a stalwart of the conservative movement for 40+ years. He revolutionized politics with his use of direct mail, founded Conservative Digest, and has been regarded as a critical voice in the shaping of the conservative movement.
But none of that matters now because he was mean to the GOP establishment.
Here is a great article, in case you missed it -- one of the very few good ones:
I'm sticking with Bush. Bush remains world's best hope

A few days ago I posted from my California ballot. It was available in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog (Philipino) and Vietnamese. But no French. :-)
"Some guy?"
You really should learn something about the Conservative movement before you post.
One can agree or disagree with Mr.Viguerie's comments but I daresay there are no more than a few dozen people alive today who have accomplished as much as Mr. Viguerie has for the American Conservative movement.

"Then the far left will be marginalized by the democrat moderates and they will get "divorced".

And Al Gore is the Wizard of Oz...
who the hell is Richard Viguerie ????????
Good, I feel better about knowing who my patriarchs are!
The last time conservatives divorced the Republican Party, we had eight years of Clinton. There has to be a third way. Voting for RINO's is not the answer. Voting for "pure" candidates that alienate the majority of voters (and consequently will NEVER be elected) is not the answer.
