My guess? Authorities want them out. We want the big fish.

The school bus driver should never have allowed them onto the bus in the first place.
It they persisted on boarding the bus, the driver should then have off loaded all of the children on the bus and called the police at that point.
When I worked at the Weapons Station, one of the greatest fears I had was a school bus being hijacked with the children of the the officers and enlisted men who lived on base. At that time POMFLANT was in operation and had nuclear warheads as well as standard ordance. Can you imagine what would have happened?

He blamed the incident on cultural differences. Yeah, I'll say they're "differences".

Dont be fooled they knew what they were doing. This was a scare tactic.A disguised warning that they could strike anytime. These 2 belong at Gitmo. They dont need a trial its obvious what they were doing to anyone with an ounce of common sense.

Geez, I just had a talk with my kids about what to do if this every happened on their bus. Of all things to have to discuss with your kids.... Get on the cell phone immediately, get out the window or back door, attack them with books, bags, band instrument cases and make the blows count as if their lives depended upon it - which they do. Don't be mamsy-pamsies and sit there even if they are ordered to be still because they're dead anyway. Do a Flight 93 on them.

These students and the bus driver needs to see the Flight 93 movie.I'm thinking that after this experience, there's no way they will not want to see that movie. If it had happened to me, I'd go to see that movie tomorrow.

Why did the school bus driver allow them to board?

All they'll need to do is rush the busses at a bus stop. The drivers won't need to let them on. This ain't good at all.

It seems to me this didn't get nearly enough attention from anyone- why the $250 Bail- WOW, and it seems they lied about where they were from and what they were up to. I would think there would be NO BAIL until authorities figured out for sure what the situation was.

Students on the bus became alarmed, as did the bus driver, who called aheadI'm afraid if I had been the bus driver, I would not have continued the ride. I would have called the cops and stayed where I was.
It's hard to believe he drove them to the school.
I'm not a tin foil hat type, but this feels like "testing the system" to see what would happen, and if arrested, then they'll just plead "cultural ignorance."

One fact that stands out is that they have to different addresses, two different apartment complexes...

Why didnt the bus driver close the doors and drive away is the real question. Exactly. Usually school bus drivers know who their usual passengers are.
This is unreal.

I rode a military bus to school in 4th grade. Picked up from the navy base and took them to local school. The driver was a MP and carried a gun. We had no discipline problems on the bus as a side effect.

Crowded places are blown up in some countries...so far are we lucky? We have been very, very lucky. However, the odds are fast becoming not in our favor.

And pack a gun.
Sounds ridiculous, I know. But this is ticking me off. Every American should be packing as long as these lunatics are allowed to walk our streets.
To: STARWISE
Just as long as we are not monitoring their calls.
Seriously, there are so many different angles to look at this situation. Were they probing a potential weak point; were they sending a message; could there be a potential diversionary tactic being applied which is a precursor for something larger? Hopefully our people are on top of this.
