An attorney for Jack Kevorkian said the assisted-suicide advocate will probably not survive another year if kept in prison...
That's part of the whole prison deal, isn't it? You stay until the sentence is over. I imagine lots of prisoners have poor health and will die within the year. Doesn't mean their time is served and they should be released due to poor health.

Maybe they should send in a Dr. to put old Jack out of his (our) misery. He may say he wants to live, but we all know that really sick people don't know what's best for them. I'm sure the Dr. can dig up one of Jack's old machines. That should make the whole procedure really painless--don't ya think?

(Gasps for breath, wipes tears from eyes.)
Thanks, I needed a good laugh today, and this is the funniest thing I've read since the wire story last year about the environmental activist who accidentally killed himself by attaching a hammock to a dead tree. (It broke off and fell on him when he got into the hammock.)
So Dr. Death has suddenly discovered that when it's HIS life, it's precious? Beautiful!

I dont think its ironic at all. he helped people to die who wanted to die. It has nothing to do with his own wishes. Perhaps he just doesnt want to die in prison. Not a bad thought , who does?
To: paulat
Not really. In the same situation his patients chose death, not life.

His blood pressure has gone "through the roof," the lawyer said Saturday. He can quit taking his meds and die a beautiful death.

I dont think its ironic at all. he helped people to die who wanted to die. It has nothing to do with his own wishes. How much have you read about this guy? He's not a sympathetic character.
I'm not entirely unconvinced by euthanasia, for purely selfish reasons. I don't know what I'd want if I were in constant pain. I think we need to think and talk about it as a society, anyway.
But Jack Kevorkian? Sick, death-obsessed freak. Have a look at his artwork and see if you don't agree.

"Kevorkian has become increasingly frail and has fallen twice, injuring his wrist and fracturing two ribs," Morganroth said in a statement. His blood pressure has gone "through the roof,"... Sounds like his quality of life in waaaaaaaay down. Time to off him.

you know what I find interesting is that most people who are not completely depressed find themselves wanting to live when faced with death.
Anyone who says they want to die and commit suicide is depressed and needs to see a Doctor who can help them live, not die.
Kevorkian took advantage of the needy by killing them and now he wants to live when death is coming soon.
Sorry, I have no pitty for him!

Dr. Kevorkian is a hero. God bless him.

My mother died after 4 year battle w/ cancer. At the end, I prayed God would take her because the sounds of her moaning and crying at night due to the pain of the disease where too much to bear.
She never thought of suicide, but I sincerely hope no one here ever has to listen to a loved one suffer the way my mother did. Why her Dr never gave her morphine, I'll never know - it would have been blessing. Personally, I think the Dr was a bit of a sadist!!
And Dr Death, God will deal w/ him. Let him rot in jail. There's nothing noble in death!

Kevorkian doesn't believe in God but he tried to play him
You obviously know nothing about Kevorkian
Even his attorney, the despicable Geoff Fieger later admitted Kevorkian was a sick and disturbed man
