Here's an update that I just got from my sister tonight. My sister remained at the hospital all night and all today while they gave my mom tests. The doctors now seem more concerned for her stomach pains than anything else and are treating her with, what sounds like, painkillers. They did find a "very large" polyp in her colon but they believe it is not the cause of her pain or most of the bleeding. Due to her age, they will not try to remove the polyp but will do a biopsy (if that makes sense?). They have my mom scheduled for a cat scan as soon as they can schedule her in so maybe we will know more tomorrow.
Thanks to all who have offered their loving prayers for one of the world's most wonderful mothers.
