This guy was exactly the sort of the insane nut Chesterton talked about--- they type has such faith in his own reason that he thinks the world must conform to his every odd nook and bit of speculation based on a smidgen of his prized reason, rather than his conforming reason to the world.

Well, at least you missed this nut's ranting!:)Sometimes I wonder what Micheal's next lead it will be...

"Oprah says that Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan should marry, run for President and VP, and that they and their heirs should rule thereafter. If you agree, call at..."

"All the exaggerations are right, if they exaggerate the right thing." - "On Gargoyles." Chesterton, Alarms and Discursions

I can't believe she just compared the KKK, which from its inception was opposed by the U.S. government (esp. Grant)to these terrorist groups loved by whole peoples like the Palestinians!

Shiznit! She just morally equivalence-ized the Palis and Israel!

She is a real piece of work.

Oprah said that? I would think she was a big Sheehan supporter.

Thanks (belated) for the ping. I'm stuck in Work n' Lurk mode, however, and won't even have time to find a stream to listen to Medved today. (This worksite in the Montana Outback stuff gets to be a real pain sometimes....)

KKK is a "Christian" group yet decidedly against black Christians, Catholics, etc etc...

And she seems to believe that the only really dangerous jihadists were the 19 hijackers. There are jihadists who continue to celebrate those attacks. That is part of the problem. The violent "small subset" that is estimated to be 10-15% of all muslims translates to 100-180 million jihadists.

That is a BIT more members than the KKK has.

Figures Paul Tillich, a socialist whose theology was based on Heidegger would be her hero. I wish Michael would ask what she liked about him. I would bet a trillion bucks she's just name dropping and knows jack about the guy.

LOL No, she didn't say that, I just meant Medved asks questions that have the form of "Is this crazy leftist who makes this crazy leftist point correct? Call in if you agree!"

And somehow reams of crazy leftists call in-- no matter how low he places the bar for them, they limbo under it even though they have to know he'll take their idiotic ideas apart!

She's a nut.

Islamic law identifies 3 legal persons. Muslims (at the top, supreme). Jews/Christians (people of the book). And Everyone Else (Buddhists,Hindus,Atheists).

It is an intolerant cult. Islamic nations MUST become accepting of those of other faiths (INCLUDING muslims who convert away from the faith).

Until that point, it is undeserving of respect. Respect must be earned.

This isn't about Westernism or Modernism. India and China are also at war with Islamic supremacists.

Halfbright: No Michael, I don't think Islam has anything to do with the problem--- and I'm saying this because I'm an idiot, NOT because I'm a diplomat!
