He's never been the conservatives darling, but with his McCain/Kennedy Immigration fiasco, he has lost the squishy middle and a good amount of Independents.

Not Cain nor the GOP define conservativism. This as much in response to this as to some FReeper's rant this AM.

The uninfringed Second Amendment is a fine litmus test for me. Cain is a bit too blue for me. As is the GOP.

McCain is a radical conservative for a Frenchman. He'd fit in with the present "conservative" government in France.

Goldwater made two huge mistakes.
He did not vet his VP candidate enough, so the dims brought up Engleton had been hospitalized with depression.
The MSM and Democrats screamed the VP candidate was insane!
This was a large reason he lost the election.
The next thing he did was thinking McCain was a conservative and using his power in Arizona to get his senate seat.

I rarely see McCain defenders here on FR anymore. It seems that most here are on to him now.

Now, we must work on the Michael Weiner crowd.

Here's a good reason for not talking to yourself out loud. It applies in an open forum too.

I hope he doesn't get the GOP nomination, but I can't help the dems, no way.

Now, we must work on the Michael Weiner crowd.

Michael Savage, talk radio? What's up with them?

I knew he had been replaced but the MSM and Democrats had poisoned the mind of sheeple who only knew from media that the VP Candidate might be insane.
A lot of people who are able to vote do not know the name of their elected officials.

My thoughts precisely. I would just as soon cast a vote for Chuckie Schumer as for McCain.

NEVER trust a RINO, especially when it comes to guns! Without guns, we'd already be Mexica. Guns are our LAST defense! A snake can shed it's skin; however, McCain can't. Once a snake, always a snake. Who cares what he "says." I care about what he has done, and NOT what he says he will do!

McLame panders to the people he wants to support him at the moment. before, it was the RAT media, now it's conservatives. He's spinning like a pinwheel.

WTF do you mean?

You made this comment to yourself in comment# 6.

Goldwater made two huge mistakes.
He did not vet his VP candidate enough, so the dims brought up Engleton had been hospitalized with depression.

Don't you read links? Check the links in comment# 9. William E. Miller, who nobody heard of, ran with Barry Goldwater in 1964. "Democratic nominee George S. McGovern's presidential hopes virtually evaporated when it was revealed shortly after the party convention that his newly chosen vice presidential running mate, Missouri U.S. Sen. Thomas F. Eagleton, had been hospitalized on three occasions for depression and had undergone electroshock therapy."

I never will, but what if the powers that be make it McCain vs. Hillary? I'll have to hold my nose once again.
