"I would love a fence and I will fight for it - but I will not throw in the towel and give my vote to a democrat for anything."
Despite the threats and hyperbole, I don't think there are any conservatives who could actually bring themselves to vote Democrat, either. But, there is enough disaffection over illegal aliens and "amnesty-by-any-name" to cause a decent percentage of reliably Republican votes to just sit this one out, as far as the fall. The same thing happened to the first President Bush in 1992, over taxes. It can very well happen, and has happened before. Vicomte13 is just trying to point this out, and has a genuine concern that the Republican Party is going to suffer a setback that he really does not want to occur. You're more or less lambasting the messenger here, ClancyJ.
HEAR, HEAR!
You've been here since January of this year and unless you are a damned retread, you aren't the "expert" on all things FR; especially why people get banned.
True...all too true and why I asked the query I did.
Well you can live in a world where you do not see Americans doing stoop labor but I watched it all my life and watch my cousins still do it today.
You may not want to depend on imported food but how much you wanna bet you already eat some it now.
I offer to you that your little mini rant that all land that is farmed will be developed and never farmed again is a bit of a stretch. Maybe that might apply to your county but that is hardly the entire USA.
American's will do any job. You underestimate us all and our nation when you claim we will not. Do away with the illegal labor force and that will become more clear than anyone can possibly smear.
You can wish for a program that will see them come here do your stoop labor that YOU do not want to do and then see them go home but ask yourself this:
What mexican in their right mind would EVER go back once they were here?
No, no helicopters but seeing plenty of enemies of America in places I never expected them. Have seen traitors treated as heroes, leaks treated as rights, have seen a media totally against this president in every aspect.
If Bush is for it - they will do all to ruin it. Watch their stand on immigration change so that they are for the immigrants and "their rights".
It is more than just politics and Halgr had some interesting points. I too feel we are infiltrated from within. We see it in the schools which brings to mind the old Communist Manifesto where they laid out the plans of infiltration. I do remember the "infiltrate the schools". I also see the "take out God" agenda today.
"3) Bush 41 looking at his watch during one of the debates."
If I'm recalling the last days before the election correctly, President Bush (GHW) also said "he's crazy," in reference to Clinton, which got a lot of media play and effectively killed off what appeared to be a late polling swing to his favor.
But exactly what 'conservative" ideas do you espouse? Looking through your posting history I fail to see any ideas. I see a lot of rants and liberal-sounding claims to be a conservative, but I don't see any coherent thought patterns.
I believe your home page is meant to provide criticism of Free Republic. I find it insulting and demeaning. You seem to be an "agent provocateur". There seems to be the foul stench of decay and burning troll in the air.
IBTZ
Now Dear Heart,
Just because you haven't read all the evidence someone else has???
I know, we don't agree on this issue. Sigh.
Still love you and hubby to pieces, though.
...within the hot house produce trucks. Now THAT was some good parsley.
@@@@
LOL! I know. And yet some people believe that 100% control of any kind of contraband across borders is possible!
FreeRepublic is conservative website. We don't have the Republican Party's back. If anything, we're here to police the Republican party.
The GOP's leadership has screwed up big time on illegal immigration and they deserve all the crap that they can handle. The GOP does not deserve our support or our kind words on the matter of illegal immigration. They deserve our hash criticism.
You are way off base Dog and I suspect you know that.
LOL!
I'm only up to post 444, but your posts are thoughtful, well stated and civil. I appreciate your views.
As I said before - that messenger is not coming across as a team player. Not my fault - I react to what I see posted and I reacted to his comments.
I do not appreciate those that chose to gamble with the future of this country over an issue. We have too many real enemies and we cannot afford "sitting" out, or "teach the GOP lessons" tactics.
If I am wrong about him - again, I react to what he posts.
Actually, I don't believe everything about every conspiracy either.
And, I still support President Bush strongly. I hope the folks I know who've prayed with him and insist he's genuine are 100% right. But what do I know. I just pray and hope.
At least he's a 1,000% better than any other option available.
But having had to study so much of the puppet masters' own documents for 4 years in my job 1965-1969 . . . The basic outline of the NWO goals and strategies is NO THEORY to me.
