No one that I've seen has assumed your inane, ridiculous straw man that "every single immigrant" to this nation would vote for Democrats. What I've assumed is that new Latino citizens will continue voting much the same way as new Latino citizens vote now, which is upward of 80% in favor of Democrats. What that means, if you take the most modest projections of new citizens that would be imported by GWB's amnesty policies is a minimum net increase of 18 million Democrats.

80% of new Hispanic voters vote Dim. The figures aren't all that good though. I've suspected for some time that many of them aren't voted but their legal status is used by the Dims to cast phony votes. It aids their vote-rigging.

I haven't checked the exit polls from the last election, but 80% sounds very high. That number (and more) is reserved for our African-American friends. I know you put the "new Latino citizens" phrase in your quote, which gives you an out, but I seriously doubt any group votes as monolithically as "the community" .

In four years, Bush doubled the GOP Hispanic vote. Who is to say that the GOP cannot continue the trend? Anything less then 80% Hispanic and 90% black vote, means that the Democrats LOSE. Can you dig it?

But I am going to get medieval on the first FReeper who complains about spending if it happens, because that wall will cost some enormous dollars.

Probably $7-$8 billion for a good fence with sensors. Much more for a big wall. Far less than the feds spend on illegals every year. The fence would probably pay for itself the first year as far as the feds go. And even if it didn't, the citizens of the border states deserve the protection of our federal government.
